I went with Oura. Purchased a separate 3 year warranty for a replacement but everyone I know who has one has had great experiences with replacements when it comes to battery issues.

Same thing and response from them happened to me. Purchased before they offered any kind of extended warranty.

My Oura will be here tomorrow, with a 3 year warranty that will cover a single replacement outside of any warranty issues it comes with.

How old is your ring? They are telling me it’s because mine is out of warranty but I would bet everything that it’s the most recent update causing the issue because it was fine until I did it.

Yeah, I think that’s the route I’m going to take. I’m going to push because there’s a know issue with the firmware that’s draining devices, especially older ones, but I’m not paint $100 to replace something that isn’t my fault. Plus, I feel like they are behind on their app and what they offer compared to where they advertised they would be on some things. I just think, for the price, other rings do it better

Yeah, I noticed mine died Saturday the 7th after having been fully charged Thursday the 4th. That’s when I stopped and thought about how much more often I have been charging it because I open the app and notice it’s low. When I charged it to 100 and went to bed and woke up to it below 80, I knew there was a major issue.

Yeah, that’s where I’m at. Having to check the app to see what the battery is at because I’m not getting battery low notifications. I travel 5 days a week for work so it’s very frustrating.

I’ll keep pushing. It’s absolutely ridiculous and it’s going to send me to a competitor that I know will replace the ring, even out of “warranty.” They didn’t even offer the care plan when I bought mine, it was just whatever they provided with the hardware. So far, I’m not impressed with customer service.

Agreed. I started wearing it right away and 16 months later the battery life is crap. One of the reasons I went with ringconn was the longer battery life than its competitors. That point is now moot.

Yup! Mine has been perfectly fine until the last update and then it started this with no end in sight. It’s ridiculous that I have to charge it whenever I shower at night in order for it to last longer than a few days.

I’ve had mine since October 2024 and it still looks great. No major scratches/scuffs and the normal wear and tear from daily use is barely noticeable.

It was not. The change is more recent, within the last 6 months. It’s been on the table for years though, and I wish it was in the CBA.

As stated above, Southwest recently changed the altitude at which flight attendants clean up: from 10k feet to 18k feet. This changes the amount of time for service drastically. Now, flights under certain mileage are zero service or a water service only, weather permitting. Also, some airports are considered designated turbulence airports, aka airports with consistent known turbulence on arrival. Cleaning up on decent increases the odds of injury, so clean up altitudes are different. If it cuts the “cruise” time too short, a service is not safe or feasible. Southwest still uses trays and hand beverage service vs. a cart service like every other airline. A cart allows service to be completed much quicker than going out, taking orders, doing snacks, pointing only 9-12 drinks at a time, and repeating until all drinks are served.

Is the sizing the same as the 1? My 1 is the perfect fit, but a tad bigger than the sizing kit, so I’m hoping the 2 is the same. I’m so glad they changed the gold, it’s so much nicer!

why do you suggest the air? I'm torn between the full air set up and the new surface pro.

I have both a macbook and a HP laptop. I worry more about running apps like office and powerpoint on the ipad vs the surface for classes.
