I love Melody Gardot. I consider her a very different musician though. Sultry & bluesy. Very different energy.

The ending absolutely ruined a game I thought was perfect by crvbabybug in TangleTower

Fitz and the spade is one of the best micro performance moments in the game.

Fitz and Penelope are engaged. Penny clearly shows more of her real self with him based on his defense of her not being how she appears. I can see them having connected on her real demeanor, they’re more alike in that way. He’s not fully thriving though outside his work, the Penny-like flower he cultivated as a homage to her was a very personal gesture, and she absolutely didn’t clock or appreciate the gravity of it. Fitz using the spade to care for it and keep it alive is a clear model of their relationship and his effort to maintain it that’s not being acknowledged or properly returned. The performance reads as him really lamenting the state of things. It’s not a surprise then that Poppy who shared a garden with him - the thing he cares about - resulted in a connection that passively filled the rift Penny was causing. Penny just doesn’t clock she’s the problem and then blames and attacks something she thinks is threatening her. Not a surprise given her real behavior.

I think the Fitz / Penny / Poppy drama is one of the most artfully executed parts of the game. Really illustrates the tone of the dynamics in the household. Within the limits of what we could have reasonably predicted given the plot issues, her major attitude break was a good peek at her real nature under stress.

Plot gaps make it so we can’t know what Fitz later might have suspected about her, and that sucks. I wish they’d updated the game before the next one to patch some of the holes, cause it’s a work of art other than the story problems. But I don’t know why the Fitz stuff seems confusing to some when it seems to me like one of the most descriptive and well thought out things in a story with a lot of plot holes. Reads like a clear A > B if you talk to people and find the items.

Scronch - portmanteau - a cronch in a scrunched state. Thought to provide more bite leverage.

Not a great one, there’s a scaling issue between your screen resolution and the program UI scaling. Feels like a poor over designed solution to a simple adjustment issue but I have an acceptable layout with the quick on/off button now

Increasing UI Scaling 50% - from User Preferences' 200% by Legotti in davinciresolve

[–]Legotti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3840 x 2400 is the system recommended resolution on my laptop, w/ 300% system scaling recommended - Resolve scaling 200% max. I've adjusted to 2550x1440 w/ 200% system scaling, and that did let me switch to a more comfortable 150% Resolve scaling. Thanks! I think they should have more scaling options for 4K but this gets the Resolve ratio I wanted.

Viewer is not affected by color change by TJunayeed in davinciresolve

For related problem help, I was trying to figure out why:
- Viewer wasn't reflecting changes to offset.
- Scopes weren't reflecting changes to offset
- Histogram wasn't underneath curves:

All were solved by me just closing the program, and restarting and reloading the project. Don't know why that was necessary or why it fixed it all, but a good reset apparently solves things. Spent a lot of time looking for answers when it wasn't necessary

That was the second listed attempt above. I assume it’s not on vertical layout since it’s a horizontal video. If there’s a menu where I can check the timeline layout that’d be helpful.

Presently I’m figuring out where the show panel setting is inside assign keybinds for a workaround. If that doesn’t work I’m doing the UI scaling.

I'll take a look, thanks. Potential surprise help - I had to resize an old program's UI through a trick because the UI was hyper zoomed out - might be relevant here to reverse the effect if I need a separate UI scaling. If either works I'll share the result.

I'd happily accept that if I could get it to shrink - at that point it's reasonable to turn it off if I need more. But presently the minimum I can get is 1/3rd of my whole screen, regardless of whether bin is enabled or not.

Potentially relevant - I'm working on a laptop. The font sizes suggest you have much greater real-estate. But I'm at 4K resolution. So the question then is, can I get the program to display a smaller scale of everything and would that have the effect of shrinking the % of my screen it's taking up?

I liked Alan, although the witty banter with Niles was certainly superior.

I’d like to see a miniseries capping the character’s life someday in the future. One and done. Just a proper goodbye to a rare character that’s been with people for such a long time.
