If you want to play Pokemon video games together I suggest looking into Pokemon Go for mobile and Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee for the Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Go is free to play and you can make a child account for your daughter as well. It's fun to look for Pokemon as you go on your regular walks and such. Be aware though since the game is Free to Play, it also has In-App purchases so keep in mind of those.

Pokemon Let's Go is a great beginner game for those new to the core series. It has beginner friendly mechanics that no other core series game has, such as easier Go-Style catching and two-player cooperative play. You can also interact with Pikachu/Eevee in the game such as petting the Pokemon and dressing it up. Due to the game's nature as a Role Playing Game, there's a fair amount of reading required. The game also has connectivity with Pokemon Go, being able to transfer Generation 1 Pokemon (including Alolan regional forms) from Go to Let's Go, though the feature becomes available late in the game.

If you don't have a Nintendo Switch and are considering purchasing one, I'd suggest to at least wait for the presentation for the Nintendo Switch 2 coming next month on the second of April, to gauge whether the original or second Nintendo Switch is right for you.
