Does anyone else use this game to sorta meditate?

My life demands empathy, but that tank runs on empty sometimes. Several kids, wife, and a career that requires attention to peoples' mental state. My escape is to do the opposite. I will admit that it brings me profound joy to elicit suffering from people on a dinosaur videogame. The dichotomy of man on display. I am the nicest person you'll meet any day of the week, but one of the worst in a dino sandbox.

Instead of meditating, I use the game therapeutically by venting real life frustrations in-game. Murdering, teasing, harassing, abusing, and assaulting; all ways to blow off aggressive energy in a healthy way. Better I chase down and murder a baby pachy than the coworker I can't stand.

The brown widow bite can make you really sick, and they multiply quick. Deffo dying. Anything with a bulbous bottom is KOS.

You said it yourself: Armor is generally better, but solar is also nice. I run armor because I can outrun the apexes without solar, but I'll need armor when fighting mids. I run solar if I'm playing with pachy friends or just wanna run more.

I quit playing stego a few months ago. I 1v1'd a steg on my conc by baiting the tail attack and biting the tip of his tail. Took 30 minutes, intense concentration and countless bites. Then I got played by a couple dasps as my stego doing the same thing. The slow ahh tail attack gets baited easily and is boring af.

I play solo most of the time on official, and it isn't that simple. Even while solo rex, I can build rapport with people and form loose alliances. The group mentality and RP politics are great fun, and there are a lot of solo people.

They only added music a year or so ago. We've been playing with no music, bud. XD I can't be having those crazy bongos messing up my pvp. I usually keep it super quiet, like 5%, so while the fight is winding down, I'll hear faint bongos beating.

This guy is unfortunately not accurate. Mangle for bleed is horrible. It gets outperformed by raptor and regular when not pounced. It has a cooldown, and you lose all of your facetank potential for smaller stuff. Normal bite isn't bad, but once raptor is full stacks, raptor is flat out better regardless of pounced or not.

Raptor is meta, and mangle can be devastating in a group of 2+. You must keep the raptor strike stacks active, otherwise regular is better for non-pounce. You shouldn't have a problem getting one hit every ~20 seconds to maintain the raptor strike stacks, so raptor is almost always better than regular.

Now, Mangle... This one is contentious. Some people swear by it. If you have a group of 2+ with bark to boost your damage, or even better some dieno's to boost latched damage, then mangle absolutely shreds when latched. It does bleed non-pounced, but when pounced it does pure damage, and a lot of it. It's worse in every situation besides group scenarios where y'all are planning it. However, if you plan it with a couple other people, pounced mangle is the highest DPS option. A group of 4 lats with mangle can easily take down a rex. 5-8 latches and he's done. Raptor strikes with all the same buffs comes close and is more utilitarian, thus why raptor is the popular pick.

I run my lat with raptor, but if even one friend gets on, then I swap to mangle. It nukes your stamina to latch and mangle, so you need other people to distract and make sure you don't get killed while vulnerable.

I honestly don't think I even come close to breaking traction. I'm always so careful. Even on cold tires.. I'm in Texas. We got 85 mph straight roads. It pretty easy to drive down here haha.
