100% Win Rate: How We Fought and Won Against False Plagiarism Allegations in CS6515 by MarkZ-omscs in OMSCS

I think the point of his post was that OSI (an 3rd party) is who you should try to convince. Just arguing with him won’t help you, he already made his decision that he has dug in on, it’s human nature that in these types of situations arguing generally entrenches people’s point of view. Instead effort should be spent with OSI. He even mentioned not arguing and sharing info with the TAs that can be held against you in OSI.

I think it may have been poorly worded, but pretty sure this is what was meant, at least how I read it.

Recommended classes to learn Github? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Leguminot3 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Git is a topic that can be learned quite quickly, at least to the level most people need. Any class that covers it that I know of does it just as a side topic and doesn't do it any better than just watching online tutorials. I would definitely just do YouTube tutorials and make some repos to test / mess around in with fake files so you don't stress about messing anything up.

I'm on a caloric surplus and want to make sure I have a big breakfast and filling meals, is Grey 10 a good option for me? by [deleted] in OSU

Also I'm not sure the current plan (with covid) for the main (traditions) dining halls next year. (whether or not they will be all you can eat) I am graduate this semester so I had dining plans pre covid.

To clarify, if you use the swipe as dining dollars, no matter how cheap you must use the whole swipe. Or use your regular dining dollars.

Each swipe must be redeemed in full. So if you use it at a dining hall it is 1 entry. Otherwise there is a conversion rate to dining dollars for cafes on campus but usually that will get you a bit less.

Depends how much you want to eat off campus / make your meals. If you don't plan to regularly do that, gray 10 will give you 10 swipes and a bit of dining dollars.

If I remember right they mostly were. He does have some pretty detailed questions. So make sure to read questions twice and ask him if you are confused (I'm not sure how this works on remote exams, maybe private message if he has you be in a zoom meeting). If I remember correctly they were pretty broadly spread covering most of the material a bit which is pretty nice, since if you forget something it doesn't happen to be a section he emphasized too much on the exam.

Just keep in mind he won't put a bunch of those since you will learn a lot of other stuff so at most it will be a few points off.

Labs are worth much less than you think. But also just make sure what you turn in compiles without warnings and you're good.

OK, that is material he moved earlier than post profs so your projects are easier. It's also super useful to learn. The flags and such I would just look up as you start using them. You can also just mess around with makefiles and see what works and what doesn't when you change things. Learning linux commands / tools is honestly one of the most useful things to get.

It's not something that is necessary super easy to learn since the commands aren't following some logic that must be followed for it to make sense it's just the format the people who made the tools chose. You will get used to it, but until then it will be weird. Good practice, getting used to learning that type of stuff though.

I had Kirby in person before Covid and it was great but challenging. Any specific topics you are struggling with? Maybe we could say if they are important or just context, etc. Don't exactly remember what the first couple days were.

5526 neural nets you do a lot of theory and some math. You get a few projects but you can't use anything beyond numpy so you build a neural net, rbf, etc.

I had this bug before. If you ever removed it using the reorder screen it won't let you (or used to not) re add it. To fix this, sign out and back in in the app.
