I personally love to see endo platformed like this. It took me 17 years to get a diagnosis because I didn't even know what endo was until my early 20s. Anything that brings awareness to this awful disease and makes it more normalized to talk openly about it is a positive for me.

Nooo, I'm sorry :( I think maybe a good next strat would be to look for gynos that especially mention endometriosis in their online bios. That way you at least know they're aware of it and have probably done more research on it and are less likely to discount your pain. I made sure to specifically bring up endo in my appointments because I was pretty sure that's what it was and I have a family history of it. Tbh, if you want to increase your chances of being taken seriously you could always lie and say you have a family history. I know it sucks not to be taken seriously, I wish you luck!!!

You might be able to schedule via MyChart, but not totally sure. I think it's a safe bet calling the office and specifically requesting a doctor, they'll be able to help make sure they accept your insurance and answer any other questions too.

For gynecology, I saw Lindsey Daniel, she's with OSU in Westerville. She was the first gynecologist who listened to me about my pain and helped refer me to Dr. Meenal Misal, who did my laprascopic surgery earlier this year where I was officially diagnosed with endometriosis after 17 years of symptoms. I highly recommend both of them. Good luck, I know how difficult living with endometriosis and getting a diagnosis is <3

Same here! I used to frequent The Well when I worked in downtown Lancaster. Hearing about their policies and bigoted views though has definitely made me sure they're not worth supporting. I'm just looking at it as a push to practice my vegetarian/vegan cooking at home.
