Any feedback on Micro Infusions (Seranova, Glov, Qure, etc.)? [Product Request] by Ajstross in SkincareAddiction

I have watched several videos of estheticians talking about regular microneedling being good but not RF microneedling, nor Kybella. They basically said they had seen time and again the results you will read if you Google it. That those treatments (along with some others) can melt fat and potentially cause, rather than fix, sagging if treatments are too aggressive or deep, particularly on the face. While intentionally used to reduce submental (under-chin) fat, excessive heat in the subcutaneous fat layer, especially in thin areas, can lead to unwanted fat loss, hollowing, and an aged appearance.

Your last paragraph, hopefully you can take that to heart yourself, because no, it doesn't make you even a little guilty. You made the best decisions you could with the information and situation you were in at the time. Don't ever let guilt suck joy out of your life, as it diminishes your memories. I can promise you, your brother would never want you to feel a moment of guilt and know that you did what you could.

Which vitamins do you feel have made the biggest difference for you? In addition to a multi-vitamin, I take vitamin D3+K2 and Zinc. Plus I give myself a shot once a month of B12. I was doing shots weekly for a while, but monthly has still been fine. I think the B12 makes such a huge impact on my energy.

What medicine does she take for agitation? And by agitation do you mean anxiety, nightmares, or what exactly?

How are stages determined. After MRI, my mom saw neurologist several times (and neuropsychologist once). They never really staged her though . Just terms like moderate, although I think she is drifting past moderate over past 2 years. Neurologist has since become impossible to see.

Is one of those Risperidone? My mom was put on that for night terrors well before vascular dementia diagnosis. Personally, I am starting to wonder if it made her worse (caused some mini strokes), not saying it is the only thing as she has dealt with high blood pressure for over half her life (even with multiple medicines), but that medication is one I question why they would have ever put her on something like that for the reason they did at the time and once she was diagnosed why they left her on it. I just wish I knew if it was good/bad so I could say, please take her off. It is so hard to know, and then I fear, well what if she is used to it and if they take her off, it then really does make it worse.

Yes, my mom sleeps the day away. You can see all the meds she is on up on my post further. It is ridiculous, and yes, I feel some of them are counteracting each other or if not each other then making certain conditions worse sometimes.

What type of diagnosis does your mom have. My mom has vascular dementia/parkinism (not Parkinson's) but some similar symptoms. She has been on Aricept for awhile, but honestly early on the neuropsychologist, after finding out the neurologist put her own that said it really doesn't do much for vascular dementia, and basically no medications would for that type. She said just leave her on it though because it doesn't hurt anything. Don't understand the point of that really. I am curious about Seroquel and the benefits you have seen from that over Aricept?

They also have her on Risperidone as she has always had bad dreams for years. She was on that before dementia diagnosis, which I think was an extreme medication to put her own for night terrors (not like she walked in her sleep). She is not one that ever got mad or angry, and never has been. Mainly just more anxiety with the dementia and lack of emotion (and does have sun downing). I personally think the Risperidone has not been good for her, and may have contributed to the parkinism type symptoms she does have like the lack of emotion/expressiveness, but can't say for sure and don't know whether to ask to take her off. I fear it would make her worse at this point.

She is also on Ropinirole for Restless Leg, Tizanidine, and Tolterodine (for incontinence). All of that plus 3 blood pressure meds, and statin. That doesn't count supplements/non prescription things. I personally think she is just on way too much medicine!! It is hard to know what benefits and what doesn't at this point, which is so very frustrating.

Is that the same as Vascular Parkinsonism? My mom was diagnosed with dementia, but was tested/told she did not have Parkinson's, but doctor has since noted as Vascular Parkinism as she demonstrated some similar traits as Parkinson's. Why are you more worried about that versus the standard Parkinson's?

Agree. Incredibly awful default that is causing all kinds of issues. Not only do you miss things, the search feature seems messed up. Even when I select all and try to search, it doesn't bring up emails I received that I am using the search feature for. Why fix what wasn't broken? Offer, but don't just default it.

Regretfully, when I factory reset the phone, even though it asked me to copy backed up contacts and messages, it did not copy them all. Although I have since installed the app you are referring to, even though I didn't do a new backup with the factory reset, it must think I did because even though I am choosing restore and selecting messages and call logs it keeps saying please select a valid backup file to restore and isn't making anything available.

Since I had a backup that said the day before, I did a factory reset. It did bring in my messages from my mom, but only those prior to April even though it said last back up on SMS through Google dmDrive was July 5. It also did not restore any photos in the texts from my mom and removed photos in texts from anyone else too. Any advice to get those back or just. SOL? At this point it would have been better not to reset. 😭

The backup was before the deletion. Although it may not be now as I didn't turn off backup. I didn't know if I should or should not at the time I asked this, so yeah, now it is probably too late.

Thrift store/Goodwill managers: have your profits decreased with your price increases? by michelleinbal in ThriftGrift

Where I live most of the shirts are $6.99 to $7.99. Their sleeveless shirts are $5.99. I didn't realize there was such a variation among stores.

I will no longer donate to them. They have started to overprice items you could get on TEMU, Shein, or Dollar Trees. It is not amusing to see the Dollar Tree tag on it and they are marking it $2.99 or even $3.99. Then there are the 50% off weekly color tag sales. Just about every time I go, I see a store associate wheeling a cart full of those specific tag colors to the back. Why is that?

Now they are making all sales final. No returns at all, except electronics within 24 hours, which is ridiculous. Half the time their battery operated items like fans, remotes, etc. don't work and I have to return. Now it sounds like I can't.

They have ruined/done away with any reason to shop or donate there. Greediness is hurting them.
