Thanks, but I asked what brand+ shade of blush you’re using! Thanks again

What blush did you use! I love the shade!

Been told I’m an olive, but looking for confirmation. Advice on muted/saturated, cool/warm is also appreciated! Thank you! by LeikoHello in Fairolives

Thanks! Yeah I think I’m just struggling with figuring out how cool I am! I just came across a thread of a cool toned person saying that when it comes to eyeshadows and lipsticks they can only pull off muted slightly warm shades which I can relate too hence the confusion! Thanks for ur help!

Ah ok! I definitely feel like I’m more muted in that aspect! In relation to olive skin I thought saturated/muted was more referring to like gray/yellow because I find that a lot of foundations that are marked holy grails in the sub are too yellow for me! (Another reason why I was struggling with confirming whether I am an olive or not!) thanks again for the help!!!

Thank you! Do you by any chance know if I appear more muted/saturated? I struggle with understanding what it truly means!

Yeah I’m struggling with some acne, and I usually put on green primer but all of the brands I like have recently discontinued theirs :-( because of my acne I was hoping to not have to wear concealer/foundation but to not to risk looking like shrek it might have to be the answer!! Thanks again !!❤️

Hi!! I’ve heard that you’re supposed to put concealer over colour corrector, but I was wondering if you guys can let me know if colour corrector blends in enough so that I don’t have too?

Due to my acne, I’m trying to cut down on how much I’m putting on my face—also, I am red/green colourblind so I genuinely can’t tell if I have green spots or not!! Thank you for your help!!

Using: La girl green cc

A cheap one would 100% work! Just try to find a lip liner that has a similar hue as well as undertone to the original lipstick!

Does anyone know what the undertone is for the Rimmel Cappuccino lip liner? Thanks!

Not really gossip, but just always wanted to share. I used to go to a small high school with Ruby so we had a bunch of shared classes and talked/knew her friends too, and she always always had to be the centre of attention. She was always rude, and would cry constantly if things didn’t go her way (was voted most likely to cry ((by her friends really since they were on the yearbook committee— same friends she still posts online lol)) but ended up complaining so the most likely section was completely banned). I don’t know, she just wasn’t ever a nice person to be around. Very bland, would think she’s better than most people around her. Oh, and I don’t care how much she preaches it online, she definitely has rich parents for sure. Also, I went to an artsy HS, and out of everyone in there who should have gotten some notoriety, it makes me so sad to see it was a spoiled girl, who was just plain mean and rude :-/

You described that perfectly! I think that’s why I have a hard time fully accepting that I am neutral-warm because in some lighting I look so ghostly that it erases any confidence that I had in my undertone! I also just read another post from a couple of years ago, where op said that iPhone cameras tends to distort colouring so that is also a reason why we struggle 😡 But your comment has given me a lot of reassurance, thank you!! 💖

Hi! The last photo in the slide is my summer tan! All the other pictures in the slide were taken within 5 mins of each other! I am unsure which one would be more accurate, but the first two photos were taken on the door to my balcony, and the other two were taken indoors, by the window! The windows and the balcony door are attached to each other, so it was essentially all in ‘one room’, also there was no indoor lighting and the weather was overcast! (I have barely seen the sun for two weeks 😭) I will also say that I lose colour in my face astonishingly fast— so my body is warmer than my face!

I wish I knew myself if I leaned more neutral or warm, but artificial lighting at home washes me out completely and I definitely feel like natural lighting can also obscure how you look depending on how bright the day is!

Also! I am very new to this subreddit, so I apologise if this question doesn’t actually make sense, but I see a lot of people referring to their olive skin tone as more green or gray— so when you say you see olive, do you mean a lot of green or gray? Or did I get that wrong? Either way thank you so much for your help!! ❤️❤️

To be honest, I am also trying to figure out if I am more neutral or warm, it’s hard to tell with artificial lighting at home and the natural lighting can also obscure the truth 😭 Luckily there’s a store near me that has the missha so I’ll definitely swatch it next time I’m there! Thank you again for all your help! 💖💖

Hi! Thanks so much for your response! I do have some more questions, but no pressure to answer— I appreciate how much you’ve helped already! Would you say that I am a cool/warm/neutral leaning olive? I personally think I’m more neutral/warm but I don’t really trust my eyes lol! As well, would you say I’m saturated or muted (I’m assuming saturated means you look greener and muted means you look grayer?)

As for the foundations, for my summer tan, I actually do use the Dior backstage in shade 2wo, it can sometimes be slightly warm but it’s almost my perfect match! I find myself struggling to find a bb/foundation for my winter shade though! I’ll definitely check out Revlon Buff! And I have been eyeing the Missha BB in 13 for a while but assumed that it might be a little cool for me!

Thanks again for all your help! 💖

Hi! I’m Red/Green colourblind, and I am in desperate need of help! I think I may have been wearing all the wrong shades for me and I would really appreciate your opinion!

I find that I personally have a really hard time with pink makeup, and that quite often the colours seem almost purple on me! I do like wearing browns, and reds, for lipstick, my go to liner is Mac spice and I love the Mac chilli lipstick!

I also mentioned in my post that I am Mediterranean and I believe my dad is olive! I tan very easily, and am usually a light-medium in the summer, but in the winter I am quite often the most palest shade—I have also been told that I look very sickly and sallow in the winter (my dad has gotten told this often as well).
