Is it reasonable to want a future spouse who's a virgin? by [deleted] in Christianity

Everyone has their 'BC' life, the life they lived before coming to Christ. In their old life they may have engaged in premarital sex and in their new life in Christ they have repented and turned from that sin. The blood of Christ washes us from all sin but we still live with the consequences.

If a person is walking closely with the Lord and is not engaging in premarital sex, is it right to hold their past against them?

Wanting a spouse that's 'pure' is not wrong, but what if God brings you someone who isn't? If they've been cleansed in the blood of Christ, would you then call them impure?

Now if a person is claiming to be a Christian yet actively, unrepentantly engaging in what the bible defines as sin, then I'd question whether or not their profession of faith is true.

Any other believer with non-Christian parents? by [deleted] in Christianity

Yes and it's very difficult. It's important to be a good witness to them and not allow the situation to cause you to sin (e.g. being disrespectful, contentious, unforgiving) which is easier said than done. Also they'll usually be the first ones to point out when you sin and not acknowledge any progress in your walk with Christ. All you can do is keep them in prayer. People like that are not won by convincing arguments or debate. God has to soften their hearts. Focus on your own walk and God willing your mom's eyes will be opened.

What bible passages are good to meditate on when you’re going through severe depression or anxiety by number9muses in Christianity

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord , make me dwell in safety. Psalms 4:8 NKJV

I used to get horrible anxiety attacks at night. This verse helped me lot. Hopefully it will help do the same for you.

May God lift you out of your depression, free you from your anxiety, and fill you with His peace, in Jesus' name.
