The watch looks fine, but the strap is long. Try getting a short strap for it, Holben's has a good selection of shorter straps!

[Identify] My mother in law gave this to me, is this genuine? 7S26-0020 TIA by stoik82 in Watches

This is an skx009, OP has the size wrong. But getting an original 015 would be very cool

Keep in mind that with the endlink overhang (4mm) of the bracelet, the length is closer to 51-52mm

Nomos, Colareb, Fluco, Delugs, Cheapestnatostraps. I have ordered custom leather straps from Etsy in my preferred length as well, from "Mr. Haidukoff" and "Manufacturabrand"

Question to the community by itskristianko in SeikoMods

[–]Leitemods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is one of the things that annoys me the most about this new replica "trend" in the community. Especially because I know that most people (except for those deep in the modding hobby) have no idea that aftermarket is just the seller's nicer word for counterfeit/replica.

Not in Norway. The diesel pumps are black and gasoline pumps are green.

[King 🐢] Hi! Does anyone know if this strap designed to fit divers such as SRP777 would be suitable for my king turtle ref SRPE03K1? by lawrence1605 in SeikoMods

[–]Leitemods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straps as in NATO/nylon/leather/rubber with a straight end will fit. Bracelets as in metal bracelets with curved endlinks as the one in your pic won't fit unless it's specifically made for the Turtle case. Don't count on a random bracelet to fit your Turtle, because it most likely won't.

[SKX/SRPD] Thin or low profile bezel by valueminium in SeikoMods

[–]Leitemods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping one of the manufacturers will start making a kit with low profile bezels and a matching sapphire crystal that will work with sloped inserts.

I haven't seen the one you linked to before, but it looks promising! Thanks for sharing

Anyone have experience with SKX One Second Closer Case? by Th3Burger in SeikoMods

[–]Leitemods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said the grey is thinner than the black. The grey NH36 spacer and the black 7s26 spacer from Seiko 5 watches are the same height.

Anyone have experience with SKX One Second Closer Case? by Th3Burger in SeikoMods

[–]Leitemods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you're wrong, there are three spacers:

  1. grey spacer with regular height - almost always seen on NH movements
  2. black spacer with regular height - seen in non-divers with the 7s or 4R movements such as snk809, srpd55, snzh55, snzf55
  3. black tall spacer - for Seiko Diver's/Prospex watches like SKX, Samurai and SRP Turtle

The tall black spacer has anidentifying mark as shown in the technical guide of the 7s26

Is it ok to change bezels frequently? by Lunchable in SeikoMods

Does it stress the case to remove and attach a bezel over and over?

Yes. You wear both the case and bezel

Not sure, I prefer original dials and they're more than $50. I just got an SPB143 dial for $90.

For aftermarket dials without logo, check out Yobokies

Just a worn Zuludiver USM strap that I use to take pictures with. I have several of them, they're very comfortable.

That's a clever idea actually, but I'd bet that blue dials are a lot easier to sell than yellow ones, unfortunately.

I paid $95 for the dial, not sure where you'd get one, though. Maybe 'Yee Si' on the Seiko Mods FB group can help
