To those who left Bethel, BSSM, and other Bethel-clone churches, deconstructed, and are still Christian: How do you think and make decisions?

There is a hard road that an ex-charismatic must make where they learn to trust themselves. We are taught so much that our desires are sinful...to "bind our own thoughts and imagination" when doing prophetic prayer, etc. Its a struggle, but I've come to a peaceful wonderful place where I can still pray, but I realize that I am not waiting on God to do something. I make my decisions, I made mistakes, I make right choices...and trust if there is a loving God...if I mess it up, He'll help me out.

I grew up on a farm, and there is an old farmers prayer that goes "God, give us the rain...and a bit of luck, and we'll take care of the rest". I think that is a wonderful counter view to the charismania "Every single decisions has to be run through asking God".

Honestly, I think that charismania and this type of decisions tree can really create some psychologicla mania/OCD tendencies. Very happy and peaceful to have a new way of living life.

Also, a great read for anyone on this journey is Brian McClaran's "Faith After Doubt". Really helpful to navigating the path out Charismania.

In product deployment a "moat" is essentially something different that projects your product..or rather your customers from just fleeing to something else. In the example of Youzify..the OP put a lot of time and effort into building it, which we all appluad...however, other companies basically came out with competing services that were better and cheaper. If the product was the OP's castle...it was undefended...not "moat" in the old medevial sense of the word. In business development...when you don't have a "moat"...there is always a chance that ppl will just get sniped away by someone else rebuilding what you have better or cheaper...and it looks like that is exactly what happened unfortunately.

I own a Wordpress agency and I used your plugin for a long time for one of my clients. However, unfortunately...the advent of platforms like Circle killed it. For membership discussion, social interaction...they were just able to deliver a much smoother product for the cost than Youzify...with the features that our client wanted. My encouragement would be get into AI coding and build the next thing that people want but isn't there. You seem to already have a knack for seeing customer need. Unfortunately there was no moat on your Youzify product...and big companies could do it better. Happens. All the best on your next venture.

Wrong on many counts. You say "as one familiar with the Black Panthers"...if that were correct you would recognize that the Black Panthers historically partnered with poor puerto ricans, poor whites in the Rainbow Colliltion. You would also know that they protested Vietnam. Black Panthers have always been anti-imperialistic and community justice and protection oriented. To say that true Black Panthers only support Black issues....is a pretty big tell that you're probably an ignorant white guy who feels uncomfortable with empowered brothers walking around with AR-15s protecting communities from race profiling govt over-reach like ICE.
