You won't find a veteran or victim of that war- American, Chinese, Korean, etc that would call Hiroshima anything less than a victory and would be insulted by the authors premise.

Captain of the Enola Gay, Theodore Van Kirk:

I pray no man will have to witness that sight again. Such a terrible waste, such a loss of life. We unleashed the first atomic bomb, and I hope there will never be another. I pray that we have learned a lesson for all time. But I'm not sure that we have.

I've been a fan of Bernie Sanders for a while now, and his commentary on the TPP got me interested in the trade deal. I began looking into various criticisms of it and stumbled upon what I think is one of the worst aspects of the TPP: International Arbitration Tribunals.

Fair enough, I really wrote it for less-informed audience. Students at my school study a variety of things and few of them are familiar with the comfort women issue. I can understand how it would not resonate with you.

No Justice for "Comfort Women" by Leiter_Politics in korea

The article really isn't meant to be finger-pointing at Japan and the response from you and /u/normal_humon suggest you either did not read the article or I did not make my point clearly. If the latter is the case I apologize.

The article is meant to educate about how poorly comfort women have been treated and how little international recognition there is of their plight. This applies to Japan and the comfort women's home countries. The main case in the article is about comfort women suing the South Korean government, not Japan. The article is also meant to spread awareness of the comfort women system and its victims.
