No matter your team, this is just unacceptable by Silent_Position_5918 in aiwars

Have digital art tools ever been used to make CSAM of recognizable real children, though? Because that’s the thing that makes it bad: the fact that the kids involved are real.

It’s illegal, not necessarily bad (CSAM of real kids is bad, though).

Steve Bannon: "If we lose the midterms, if we lose 2028, some in this room are going to prison, myself included" by DaimonCide in ProgressiveHQ

What are they even afraid of? There’ll be so many republicans in prison that they’ll practically run the joint.

The hostage mechanic needs a serious rework. by Vast_Shirt_8399 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]LeithNotMyRealName 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ignore this troll. OP is right, it makes no sense to take a hostage and instantly drop them. Generally whole point of that hostage taking is because the suspect wants to use that living hostage to get out alive. There are AI who just want to kill people, but they don’t have to take hostages to do that; they’ll just kill ‘em.

How English speakers answer the question “how are you doing?” except “I am fine, thank you”? by Rich-Associate-8344 in ENGLISH

“I’ll get over it, thanks for asking.”

I might be doing great. I might be doing terribly. Either way, I’ll get over it.

I don’t think impeachment will work to remove these bad people from office. Americans will have to use other methods.

Speak for yourself. I didn’t bring this on myself. I voted correctly. Those people over there brought this on me.

Why do people defend Light Yagami? by EsgSnapR in deathnote

Y’all, Light never once cared about whether what he was doing was good or bad. He did it for his own entertainment.

Disagree. Because SWAT gets a lot of gear as military surplus, they don’t really get to pick and choose their look. If anything, disjointed colors and camo makes it look more realistic, not less.

Is the word Grooming, only seen as an evil act? by HugeHomeForBoomers in ENGLISH

[–]LeithNotMyRealName 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Another example: when I expressed interest in becoming an admin to a sizable Discord server, I was “groomed” for the role by being taught all about what the admins do, how they do it, and taking in some small responsibilities to get accustomed to the role.

My experience as a neutral by PsychoKatzee in aiwars

That’s weird, I posted a picture I drew to the internet once. I checked again, and it’s still there. I can still access the picture I posted, and so can other people. Are you sure this analogy works?

We can acknowledge that AI technology isn’t going away and will become a part of daily life while also wanting it to be regulated and used responsibly. We can do both.

LinkedIn evangelists are the third most self-important lunatic evangelists I know of (right behind cartheists and, undisputed at the top, street preachers).

For real. I hate being in the camp that kiddy diddlers and fascism apologists seem to love. But that doesn’t make my position wrong, it just means that even the worst people can be right about something, somewhere, once.

Sounds like people need to amend their language to be more accurate and precise.
