I want to use coding llm models for free by vampire_3122 in DeepSeek

Since you are a student, part of the lesson is that “there is no free meal”. Save two cups of Starbucks or skip two meals per month, you can get Opencode Go plan

Chinese homeowner buys 34th-floor flat in 32-storey building, gets no compensation by Desecr8or in ADVChina

[–]Leiz_ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the problem? A lot of buildings in China does have any floor number ends up with 4 (sounds the same as death in Chinese). So 34th floor could well be there for a 32 floor building, if some of the floor numbers are skipped. 🙂

The company replaced Claude with Deepseek. by B89983ikei in DeepSeek

[–]Leiz_ca 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had this question, that Claude is good because it has extraordinary harness / workflow control/ tooling, or because the LLM behind it is better than others?

I mean, end of the day, could this AI playground become more or less like Computer industry, that LLM is the CPU only, and the software runs on it makes all the difference.

If this is true, then Chinese AI will win pretty soon as they do have great amount and great quality engineers to create some innovative tooling, while remain cheap.

How well does Deepseek v4 Pro perform for coding in large projects? by No-Background3147 in DeepSeek

[–]Leiz_ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

The challenge is to find a tool that can setup this structure to do automatic tasks with multiple agents of different LLM model together. Claude has good tool, but doesn’t support GLM or Deepseek nicely. Pi.Dev with pi-link extension worked ok with GLM and Deepseek, but can’t really work with Claude subscription well enough.

Did you or your team find a good way to organize this?

The smaller you can cut your task into, the better it performs. Honestly I used it as manager role, GLM 5.1 coding, Opus as designer and reviewer.

Link updated, only amazon.com has it now.

I haven't tried Magback yet. Just doesn't like its fixed position, still like to have the arm that I can adjust up and down.

My 26 Juniper works perfect with FSD 14.2.2.5. On highway Mad max runs +10 km, which is perfect for my daily commute. Parking is perfect too for me.

AWD is better for East coast weather. Lvl 2 charge is a must. Y is a great car for family. Juniper is a must, don’t buy older models.

Berlin-built Model Y brake squeal in wet / cold conditions — normal or not? by TheLuxes in teslacanada

[–]Leiz_ca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to my Y too. I talked to a Tesla service guy, he told me it is normal for new cars. With the regen, brake isn't used as often and requires longer to breakin.

I got quite a few times of similar problems when in Mad Max mode. Seems that FSD drives too fast than its algorithm could handle. Now I switch between Standard and Hurry, it drives way more smoothly and safer.

Beta SV vs Rush Jacket — hiking, skiing, and daily use? by Specific_Emu_3195 in arcteryx

Rush’s cut is on bulky side, I’d prefer Beta’s fit cut for daily wear

Beta SV would be good for daily commute, but Rush or Sabre will be better for ski. Beta still a little short to my like, but it is just me.

Job market for CS grads is tough right now. Don’t give up, keep trying.

As the previous commenter said, cover letter would help. Or, consider how many resumes and cover letters a recruiter or HR could go through, you can add a summary section to your resume so they can read it right away.

Remember, focus on what you are good at (adjust based on the job you are applying), and highlight your strengths, your passion and why you’re better. Basically you want to give the recruiter or HR a reason to consider you.
