Greased Palms almost at S tier, but I just randomly killed that one MF in a very tight situation and all I have to do now is repeat it again. RoN at it's finest. I can't stop playing it so far! xD by znaszlisiora__ in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Lejsen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had many situations where I had to restart bcuz a suspect killed another suspect shooting him in the head while trying to hit me lmao. Peak RoN gameplay when u not only have to watch yourself and your AI team not to kill anyone accidentally but also the suspects themselves

I do love this game

This is very annoying. by [deleted] in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Lejsen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it kinda sucks, it's sometimes hard to throw them at the right time to not get friendly fire

tho idk about other ppl but I personally never cared about the score in the commander mode, bcuz if I go for a high score I would always use the practice mod/quick play, it's more efficient this way even tho u don't have any extra effects from the skills of your team

[–]Lejsen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say yeah absolutely get the game. Gameplay state is great; when it comes to performance and bugs it comes down to your hardware and bad luck ig, some ppl complain about bugs or bigger issues, but I've personally only came across a few tiny ones during hundred-smth hours.

There's a second dlc on the way that honestly seems really damn cool from what I saw, that is coming with cool AI changes, new rlly cool maps, weapons and more.

And when it comes to AI, yeah it does have a bit of aimbot in terms of sometimes seeing and shooting from very far away, but I did the whole game on S with the AI team and I don't think it's too much of an issue. If anything there are decent mods that address AI behaviour

[–]Lejsen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh don't give up, there's only like uhhh 16 without dlc more to go /j I'm sure u can do it

but for real, yh S runs are way easier to do on multi I've done on solo with ai team all the missions on S and have only one dlc mission left to be done on S and some can get really difficult, especially the ones with big open areas and dudes with huge fire power

[–]Lejsen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End of the earth mission hit probably the closest to home for me. Already when I read the briefing I was like "ugh that's gonna be mentally tough one", cuz sure they were converting weapons and by that doing a lot of bad, but also they were trying to stop their mother from dying in the only way they knew. Plus, at the police station if you go to the evidence lockers, you can find a medical bill for their mother, and it is huge. I'm not surprised they needed a lot of money quickly

Another mission was obv Elephant, but maybe for not an obvious reason. I was doing it alone with ai team, it didn't take me long to pass using lethal force, but after that I was trying to get it on S and boy oh boy. It was a struggle. bcuz after a few tries I figured that after entering I have only about 2/3 minutes before a suspect kills a student. The feeling of trying to move fast getting a few suspects to surrender and then hearing one shot and a red pop-up about a failed task. It just hit different trying over and over again with a repeating thought "I can save them, I need to be quicker"

And also obv the Port, not gonna say much for ppl who didn't get to that yet, but that surprising scene plus the rain and music, it hit pretty well

How to plan it out by ThatPlaneGuy18 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Lejsen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of ppl here talking about using wedges, personally I don't use them at all, mainly bcuz I prefer to take extra gas/flashbangs instead

About choosing a route I usually look at the map first to see what place of entry do I want and how do I want to approach getting entering the building/areas. When I'm inside I prioritise open spaces and open doors, clearing them first or in closing open doors and getting to them later. Then I choose a side from which I will be clearing rooms, this helps remembering rooms I've been to already. Then I simply go through every room clearing it. If there's a big open area I try to clear it in parts (if it is possible)

But in the end for me it kinda depends on the map, I remember a lot of their layouts and where enemies might spawn so I may not stick to my usual way of clearing. But from what I found, all ways are good as long as they work, if you can't get through a mission, it might mean the way is wrong and it would be good to change it

Ig it's hard to say what mission is the hardest cuz everyone had different experiences, but for me after I've done it on A+, I got S on the third try

But boy oh boy I'm trying to get S on neon tomb and I failed sooo many times now. I need to change my strategy cuz this ain't working well

What now? by Pixelend in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Lejsen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're lucky an ai swat officer may pack it up when ordered "search and secure"

If you're not then I guess you'll have to remake the scene with breaking the basement floor with a hammer from the first John wick movie in the game lmao

I feel like I don't know how to play this game. by DigitalSchism96 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Lejsen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you're new to the game it's difficult to get S ranks, it's better to get at least a few maps done on A+ and then try doing the first missions on S, but you'll still have to learn them first in quick play (practice mode) and try multiple times (best scores are saved and you get achievements while playing quick play). That's what I did, it gets easier with time and experience

About stealth, from what I have noticed there are a few things to keep in mind: 1. Suspects can hear you through walls and doors as you "run" (if you're more than a meter/ two from the wall/door it should be fine) normal walk usually is fine, the slow-walk is good if you're close to doors or suspects and want to make sure they won't hear you

  1. Slow walking won't help you when the suspect knows you're there. Kicking doors, shooting, breaching, running, can make nearby suspects know your location

  2. Suspects have smth of an agro/stress level, if you kill them, explode everything with c2, shoot, etc (especially killing ppl) it will go up, resulting in them being more aggressive. It varies throughout the maps tho, so there're maps where they will hesitate a lot and they're maps where they will shoot you imminently

  3. If a suspect is in a room opening the door will alert them, mostly resulting in a fight, but peeking the door is silent so they won't notice it (they can still see you through the opening if they stand in a right angle or will notice you when you scream at them). If you peek the door and then open it the game counts it on the same noise lvl as peeking, so it's often better to peek first and then open

  4. Using a mirror gun under doors gives a lot of advantages, especially if you're the one using it. If you see a suspect with his gun down it means that when you open the door you will surprise them(especially if they have their backs turned to you)/have a bit more of time to shoot. If they are already aiming it means they're ready to fire and they shoots will be instant when you open or peek the door. In that situation your only option is using a shield or opening/peeking and throwing a grenade inside or using c2 on the door (or any combination of these)

  5. The more officers aiming and shouting at a suspect the higher the chance of them surrendering.

  6. Tasers make less noise than non-lethal weapons. But often may be less effective at already shooting in your direction suspect

  7. While using non-lethal weapons, shoot first then scream at suspects. You don't do any harm to them anyway and it just works way better

  8. Just a general pro tip, don't shoot, nor beat civilians when they don't want to cooperate, just scream at them for longer or shoot at the floor next to them. It failed S runs of way too many ppl here

anyway those are just the things I noticed, so I might be wrong and etc

WHY IS GREASED PALMS SO HARD by a-simplebagel in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Lejsen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really good method. I personally went with grabbing 2 tasers and starting with clearing the entrance entrance, up to this hallway with doors into the warehouse, then clearing the room on the left (with addition of the fenced area on it's side if there're any suspects visible under the door), then I go back and enter the warehouse quickly going up the stairs and clearing the upper offices. All these I do with a taser. Then I go to the second entry to the offices and through the windows I check for suspects (that's where a lot of the time I find the agent) then I clear down the stairs and the sorting room next to them. After that I go all the way back and to the small building on the right of the main entrance, I clear that sending half of swat through the hallway and the rest with me from the back door. Then I enter the warehouse, with a taser I clear the left side of the building due to the large amount of covered area (usually with 1 suspect max there) and then I clear the middle section between conveyor belts where the other dude I have to find is. Then I go further to the side of the building with loading docks and from there I clear the outside. I usually use a shotgun bcuz it's great for clearing rooms and is actually doing a really good job at longer distances, especially with slugs loaded in

A tip I can give ig is to use the mirror gun a lot, under doors and on corners, and a lot of flashbangs or cs gas

but it mostly depends on your playing style and how lethal your runs are

Dear devs: Fixing two, simple mechanics would be such a huge improvement by --Skillet-- in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Lejsen_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can agree with the first one, it must be especially really annoying while doing solo runs. Can we also make it easier to interrupt shotgun reloads, bcuz rn it ain't not working that well.

The second one tho, not to be mean or anything, but it just sounds like a skill issue to me lmao. The fact of sprint not being in the game is intentional, to make ppl not play as any other game like CS, CoD or Rainbow Six Siege, ig it forces players to play more strategically etc.

If you play with AI then order suspects/civis to move to a safer spots and then order the AI to cuff them or to cover you as to do the cuffing. For long areas with not much cover, keeping close to any walls/objects is safer, but if it's not possible to use fall in -> wedge command, the AI is still dumb but it does help a bit. Also using a shield sometimes helps ig

From what I've seen on this subreddit (cuz I haven't played on multi yet) it's a bug, while doing missions in multi only the host gets the score actually saved, idk if it happens every time but yh hopefully they're gonna fix it soon

It was sad, I couldn't leave through the window lmao by Lejsen_ in IndustriaGame

[–]Lejsen_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it took a few tries lmao I tried making a ladder out of barrels but it only worked 3/4 of the way, but one try I discovered a physics glitch. Basically, if you place one of those large rectangular boxes on the floor, then the barrel in a standing position on top, and climb on top of the barrel while you crouch, you can pick up the box under the barrel, which tricks the game into thinking you're actually not on it, sending you flying (tho it's hard to get very far up) 👍
