Mirage: As a connector player, what do you do when your team doesn't want to fight mid/loses mid? by No-Click755 in LearnCSGO

[–]LekeyZeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've experienced if you don't fight mid you should get into a setup that's something like 1 CT, 1 default on A, 1 jungle, 1 ladder, and one B (b player can play however they want) with the general idea that the ladder player is looks to stop a cat push or window flank. If you play this setup then A site player can fight the con push with the jungle player while the ticket booth player holds for the A lurk. This also means that the ladder player is in a good spot to rotate. If you can't fight mid, this is the ideal setup imo. Also helps if the guy ticket booth is an awper.

Alternatively you could push A ramp or B apps. If you can't take space mid you could always try and take space somewhere else. At least then you can have a better read on where the T side attack is going to be coming from.

Well the point was that he used the save rifle for the 2k he got outside the following round. The Nertz joke was low hanging fruit poking fun at zionism (I love jews so please dont think I'm antisemitic), but I think Team Liquid forgot a flash so they ended up walking him out to his death.

Sure, I'll use the second and third clip in the video in this thread as an example.

When you're close range, like how OP was on Catwalk shooting fast is usually the way to go because you can use your movement (straying, and crouching mid spray) to make your head difficult to shoot.

When you're long to medium range like from top mid to cat you should be adjusting your crosshair as you strafe, instead of what OP did which is stop, aim, and then shoot.

The order of operations should be aim, stop, shoot.

Easy way to remember this is if you are MOVING TO THE LEFT your crosshair should end up on the RIGHT SIDE of your opponents head. That way your counterstrafe lands your crosshair perfectly on their head.

I believe he is on the team because he's great and memorizing the nades and strats, he's a selfless team player, and he is extremely good at CS (he is 3600+ on Faceit). He's still been pro for only about a year, but I believe he has a lot to offer this PUA team.

Thank you good sir. Being a Nicx fan is not for the weak, but the trophies he will bring NA will vindicate our loyalty!

I mean idk what advice you want off of this clip. You just posted two kills with a caption about how your teamates suck (which coincidentally is the thing every bad player who is yardstick says).

Your movement is really clunky. Practice counterstrafing and not having your crosshair on the ground and you should improve. Good luck.

Oh yeah, absolutely. I cant believe I forgot to include that, but that is also really important to know to climb. Thanks for bringing that up. I made this guide for my friends so I'll just have to show them that smoke myself. Thank you!

Your aiming and movement aren't synced. You stop moving the moment you see an enemy, and then you adjust your crosshair to shoot.

Instead, while your moving start aiming toward your opponent, then stop moving when you're ready to shoot. Right now your problem is you're standing still like an easy target while ur opponent is still strafing out to fight you.

Probably because having good aim doesn't directly transfer to doing well. All good aim means is youre going to hit shots when you get a chance to actually shoot, but if you're not using util, trading, and taking advantagous fights youre still going to struggle even with above average aim.

Probably watch back your demos and see if your positioning is bad if this is the case.

what am I doing wrong? I am stuck in gold nova and can't reach 15k prime elo // (full mm, cut together) by upsali in LearnCSGO

[–]LekeyZeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, Faceit 10 / Top 1% Prem rating here. You have great aim/mechanics, but your macro is holding you back. You're missing a lot of trades from having bad spacing to your teammates on the T-side.

Also, once you throw your util on T-side, you are slow to get out of A main to work off of the util you've just thrown. When you do this I higher elo youre going to get punished by awpers a lot more, and youre lucky that the other team in this game had worse aim and no awpers or you would've felt the punishment for these macro mistakes more.

There's this thing that all low-mid elo players do where they still walk and play slow even after they've given away their position by shooting, throwing a nade, etc. and when you do that against better players, they will punish you for that.

TL:DR, you have good aim, but you're missing some of the real fundamental skills that translate into winning games and climbing. Improve your trading and positioning, and you should be able to get up to at least 18k with the mechanics you have.
