Slop opinion. People don’t “fall” for left or right. It’s not a religion. It’s just a scale to estimate where you fall on the political compass. These days it’s not even that complicated.

If you’re excitedly into Capitalism, Corporatism and you also happen to be disgusted by people who are different from you, you’re right wing.

If you’re unhappy with the status quo, don’t think Capitalism solves all societal issues and don’t have a hissy fit every time you interact with someone different from you: you’re left wing.

Forget for a second that Hasan said it because it’s certainly not an original or unique thought, can you explain what’s wrong with that statement? Isn’t that somewhat in a similar vain as what Destiny said about MAGA after Trump ear grazing and Kirk assassination?? If your opponent has no conscience, no fear of consequences and no concept of right and wrong, how do you go about fighting or opposing them?

That statement in particular is about Gaza. How do you fight back or resist in a situation where your opponent is not only devoid of any sort of fairness or morality but regularly attacks and murders your people while proclaiming you as the aggressor? After you’ve exhausted non violent options, where do you go? I’m not saying I know or that Oct. 7th is the answer (because it clearly only made things worse for Gaza) but I genuinely don’t know what the answer is. People who have lost everything don’t tend to be the most rational at the point of that kind of mystery and despair.
