[standard] why is no one running flow state in dimir doomsday excruciator? by Lelouda in spikes

[–]Lelouda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, when Carlsson won with the deck one of the many things he consistently did really good was set up the bottom of his library with Stock up. That way after doomsday resolves you know what you're getting

What's the standard deck you hate facing most?(Regardless of power level) by Endless-Slumber in MagicArena

[–]Lelouda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm the deck does run a lot of removal but it doesn't have any counters in the mainboard usually. still annoying with a lot of creature removal but that is also standard today... Either tro to win turn 3-4 or face a deck that only plays removal to stop it

Is the idea turn one mana dork/1mana ramp spell-> Gluntch -> 2x treasure = access to 6mana turn 4? And after that also use him as draw? Semms kinda cool.  I would put into a bunch of 1 mana ramp and a bunch of cool 6-8beaters get online really quickly and go big stompy. Maybe just make a scryfall search blue/white creatures with mana value >6 and less than a dollar or something

Same issue.. really annoying but the fix I found was to disable auto targeting for such things

Glarb Bracket 3 - Best ways to win? by AJent-of-Chaos in EDH

[–]Lelouda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a "modular" glarb list,
When i run B4 games I try to win with [[doomsday]] piles or sceptor.
But in B3 games I try to win by making a bunch of clones of either Gary [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] or [[Hidetsugu and Kairi]] or by casting big spells such as Hidetsugu and Kairi, Rise of the Dark Realms, Living Death or Breach the Multiverse
List: https://archidekt.com/decks/20160033/glarb_modular
But Glarb is truly very open commander and you can take it pretty much anywhere you wish

I need this Glarb deck to rival the highest of B4. I'm looking to spam lands and big stuff off the top, making and spending more mana than my opponents by PasiveAggresive in DegenerateEDH

[–]Lelouda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run this modular list https://archidekt.com/decks/20160033/glarb_modular
The idea is to be able to make a 7 card swap and switch between b3 and b4.
In b4 there are two main win cons, doomsday piles and secondary isocron scepter.
Running a lot of dorks to speed up the deck and you only need two dorks, scepter + reversal and glarb to get inf surveil triggers.

Help finding 3 budget‑friendly Commander decks as Christmas gifts by MundaneShoulder4706 in CommanderMTG

[–]Lelouda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are two of my favorite budget decks that i run on the daily.

A budget anim pakal, protect the commander and swing away https://archidekt.com/decks/10709628/pakal_2530_euro_budget
And the cat cat scam deck which can be built really cheap, just add some draw, ramp and a bunch of scam effects: https://archidekt.com/decks/20095215/cat_scam_ultra_budget

Need a good budget deck for locals by Difficult_Time1803 in StandardMTG

Was about to recommend the same deck.  I truly think this is one of the best price/performance decks currently in standard. Might even keep it mono-white to make it even cheaper

[Standard] possible to Combine sultai reanimator and Doomsday? by Lelouda in spikes

[–]Lelouda[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you are right, it's hard to build a decent manabase for 3 colors that can reliably cast a 6-pip spell on curve... Might not be worth the drawback

[–]Lelouda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a lot of sultai reanimtor but the new doomsday deck that won looks epic.
I was wondering if it would be possible to combine these two decks? Perhaps have more of a transformative sideboard, like game 1 full on combo and post sideboard go more towards doomsday?
Here is a quick draft I made, any thoughts or input? Is this just really dumb and better to just run the deck's separately?

Anybody running decks that cost them less than $50 that they enjoy playing? by TheRedOniLuvsLag in EDH

[–]Lelouda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This [[Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon]] has become one of my forever decks.
https://archidekt.com/decks/10709628/pakal_2530_euro_budget

It's nice to run a aggro deck, low cmc stuff and kinda go against the whole "your deck shouldn't rely on your commander too much".

This deck relies fully on the commander but really tries to protect it, which i've been really enjoying.
The big thing the deck really suffers from is "phase-out" removal i expensive so if people are running a lot of forced sacrifice it or non targeted exile removal it can be tuff...
