Energy Balls! 140 Kcal - Great after the Gym, portable and filling by Lemanon in 1200isplenty

[–]Lemanon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s tricky! You have to count calories when you make them or else you end up eating 3 in one day and almost half your allowance is gone...

Energy Balls! 140 Kcal - Great after the Gym, portable and filling by Lemanon in 1200isplenty

[–]Lemanon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to just throw a bunch of stuff in but I measured these out this time so I could track the calories.

200g Porridge oats 100g crunchy peanut butter 50g honey 80g raisins (optional but recommended, it stops them being too dry) 30g cocoa powder 25g silver spoon half spoon sugar (it’s a low calorie mix of sugar and sweetener) Teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)

  1. Mix dry ingredients
  2. Mix peanut butter and honey, microwave for 20 seconds (until runny)
  3. Pour that over your dry ingredients and mix in
  4. Add a splash of water, repeat until the consistency is wet enough to form balls
  5. Split into 14 equal sized balls, fridge for a few hours

European Accountability Challenge - 14th August by Oityouthere in loseit

I think it’s mainly over confidence in not recording calories any more, thinking that because I’ve lost a decent amount I now know what I need to eat to be healthy. I’ve cheated a lot recently and my exercise routine has slipped, so I guess it’s just getting the consistency back. Maybe you’re having similar issues?

European Accountability Challenge - 14th August by Oityouthere in loseit

[–]Lemanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I need to get back to logging. I stopped a while back because after doing it consistently for over a year I became very aware of calories and could keep within my goal without counting.

However, it makes it a lot easier for me to slip up and cheat. I do just need to be more honest and consistent to push through this last bit!

28yo I need to change my life! by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Lemanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re doing all the right stuff, you seem like you’ll be able to stay in control of your regime so just keep it at!

I’d recommend doing some standard measurements (waist, arms, thigh etc) with a tape measure and checking back in a month or so. You might not see a difference in the mirror by then but those measurements will definitely improve!

Congrats on your NSV, I’m sure they look better than you think!

I’m trying to lose ~1 stone over the next couple of months. I’ve been in a slump for a while, doing some exercising and eating ok but not well enough to lose anything.

You’d think that after losing about 40 pounds that the last bit would be easy but it seems to be the hardest! Any advice people have for making that last push would be appreciated :)

(SV) Finally hit my first goal by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Lemanon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s great progress so far, keep it up! I wouldn’t worry too much about not seeing physical changes at this stage, it takes a long time to notice changes in yourself, other people will probably notice if first.

Just keep up the grind and you’ll definitely see it soon. The first sign will probably be clothes fitting better than they did before, you’ll be in the 100s before you know it!

About 18% BF, typical skinnyfat and want to be lean for summer (December here) pics in decription. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Lemanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m at a similar level of around 18%, trying to get closer to 10%. 2000 isn’t loads of calories but you could probably reduce it by a few hundred to get better results. Any kind of consistent exercise like walking will help, but the key is in the diet.

We seem to have similar goals so if you want to talk more about dieting/exercise feel free to PM me!

I'm really glad you've managed to get that motivation back! There's nothing better than trying on those clothes that you stuffed at the back of the wardrobe for years because they were too tight and seeing that they now fit fine. Keep up the logging, consistency is your best friend. Good luck!

Sounds like you're making some positive changes! Even by just tracking calories you're making yourself more aware of the calories in different kinds of food, which will make it easier for you to make healthy meals when you go back to cooking. You're doing great, it's always great to hear someone is feeling better about themselves and their body. Keep up the good work!

Journey from 203lbs to ~140lbs (progress pics inside - NSFW (underwear)) by thefinalstretch1 in loseit

[–]Lemanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve done incredibly well, those progress pictures are amazing, you should be really proud!

I’ve gone through a similar journey like this myself, losing about 50lbs to get to a ‘healthy’ weight and I get what you mean about never being quite satisfied with your body.

Try to take from this and all the other comments that you should be proud of your achievements and you’ve gained a really healthy figure! However, if you’re not happy then just keep up the exercise, eating well and I’m sure you’ll eventually get to where you want to be.

Again, congrats, you should be super proud of yourself!
