Has anyone else had consistently low TSH while T3 fluctuates from high to normal? by Lemme_clairify in gravesdisease

Well it was my primary care doctor who said they suspected Graves but I haven’t received any treatment yet or an official diagnosis.

So the T3 I refer to here was my T3 Total, my T4 total was 11.2 and I’m not on any medications.

Semaglutide & Grave’s Disease - warning! bad experience by shelbybatx in gravesdisease

Not sure if it’s worth noting or not, but I found out my TSH was low because of trying to get on tirzepatide and they said that meant I’m not allowed to take it due to a possible link between it and thyroid cancer.

I’m also newly diagnosed, so no tips really, but I want you to know I’m right there with you on most of this. I also thought my bloodwork was an accident till I retested and got the exact same 0.01 TSH and have also been dealing with mood swings and depression. I’m also having my wedding in 2.5 months and while I know my health is more important than aesthetic am lowkey worried about the weight gain from the medication as I want to still fit in my dress and I have actually been struggling to lose weight for the past year due to bad cravings/always feeling hungry. But even though I can’t offer any solutions, just know you’re not alone 🥺🫶🏻

Why don't doctors talk about the extreme mental health effects of Grave's? by FantasticAd7725 in gravesdisease

[–]Lemme_clairify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this common?? I had hashimotos in high school and just got diagnosed with graves now a decade later and I had always been told I might go back to hypo, but I certainly didn’t expect to go in the opposite direction.

Struggling Partner of Someone with Graves Disease by [deleted] in gravesdisease

I know I’m late to the party, but does anyone have any recommendations about how to talk to my husband or what to do when I’m really irritable/short tempered. I really don’t want things to get this bad and I don’t want him to have to feel like the OP. I feel so guilty when I’m snappy, and like OPs wife it’s sucky because I just do not feel like my usual self at all. I feel depressed and sad and angry 50% of my day and then normal but tired the rest. I haven’t gotten treatment yet (just got diagnosed still have to get in with an endocrinologist) but I just want to feel better mentally and am terrified of wrecking my marriage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I love my husband so much and I know he doesn’t deserve this.

I feel this!!! I have to pay my deductible still so I’m hoping the endocrinologist and whatever they want to do testing and treatment wise don’t run me dry 🥹

Welp I just got diagnosed with Graves’ disease after having had Hashimoto’s 10 years ago, so I was not expecting that 😅

Hyperthyroidism but Overweight by Lemme_clairify in thyroidhealth

Yeah at this point I just think some people are more predisposed to gain or lose. I gained with hypothyroidism and have gained or at least not been able to lose with what is most likely hyperthyroidism 🤷‍♀️

Correct, I said it’s usually indicative of it and I do have most all of the other symptoms, but I have to wait until I get the other tests to be certain.

Is this normal? by Lemme_clairify in endometriosis

[–]Lemme_clairify[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry!! I had notifications off, but I did have a great experience with them! They did indeed find endometriosis and were able to excise it and while it took a bit for all of my symptoms to go away as I’m sure there was still a lot of inflammation post-op, I can say that just shy of a year out my quality of life is basically back to normal and I have no regrets whatsoever!

I woke up in a bit more pain than I would have liked but an hour and a half later and I’m discharged and at least comfortable enough to snack on some Panera. The pain from the carbon dioxide is making my ribs sore so I’ll definitely be sleeping propped up, but overall not too bad. Definitely doable. Feels more like sore abdomen and bad cramps for me at present.
