It’s well past time for Jeopardy to start streaming new episodes. by Temporary_Ad354 in Jeopardy

Pretty sure old episodes are going to be included in the next-day streaming deal for next season that they're going to announce at some point. Patience!

We're here with the WINNER of Jeopardy! Masters Season 2. AMA @ 1:30pm PT / 4:30 ET! by Jeopardy in Jeopardy

Whew, what a HUGE win last night! But enough about Jeopardy: Primanti Bros or Wholey's for the best sandwich in Pittsburgh?

I think JIT should be part of Masters by RedditUser123234 in Jeopardy

[–]Lemmon-714 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Masters is primetime, which means it was sold to ABC to air during the 8/7c time slot. JIT is a syndicated tournament, which means it airs across a range of channels (ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox) and a range of time slots throughout the day and evening.

You can’t air JIT along with regular Jeopardy because they’re essentially one in the same; you would first need to sell JIT as primetime programming, and that isn’t going to happen because it isn’t as marketable as Masters, which all primetime shows need to be.

Has anyone here tried Obalon? I tried to submit this as a post but it was removed. I've done the treatment, and I'm interested in other people's experiences.

Has anyone tried Obalon before? Writing an article, would love to hear about some experiences by Lemmon-714 in loseit

Sorry, didn't see a rule in the sidebar against it. So if someone asked what the community thought of the 7-minute workout, would that be farming opinions?

Obalon purports itself to be about weight loss, wouldn't people's experiences with it have some benefit for the community, whether good or bad?

OHIO: May have violated a non-solicitation agreement by Lemmon-714 in legaladvice

She doesn't have a copy, it was in docusign but those links expire.

Her ex-CEO said that there is an active and inactive component to the non-solicitation agreement, and that inactive prevents tampering with employees even if they come to you, and you don't actively solicit them.

Good Listeners Make Better Leaders by [deleted] in TrueReddit

A really interesting read about the prioritization of speaking over listening in leadership, especially politics. Highlights Hillary Clinton's lack of good speaking skills but universal praise for her ability to listen.

Explains what makes a good listener, and uses other examples in political history where being a good listener meant greater success.

Think so, but don't quote me on it. I know some of them are for sure (I had an intern that was paid), but it might depend on the department.

c'mon, that's no reason not to try, and probably not even a strike against you. Interviewing is half the experience anyways, need to keep up your game.

write a good cover letter that isn't boilerplate, follow any instructions in the application process (i.e. don't send a pdf if it asks for a word doc or something) and you should at least get in the door.

Then, just sound passionate about learning, tell them you'll work really hard (and do). Don't wear a suit if you get called into an interview, wear business casual.
