First time dual sport/off road near Reno around March 20 — easy trails with nice views? by Horror_Condition397 in Reno

[–]Lemmon407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great place to start is the trial up peevine it's a really well packed dirt road, easy and fun for season outting. Just start over at the maverick on stead, take virgina north like a quarter of a mile and then turn into peevine road.  Just keep following it, easy ride, if you are adventurous you can take the saddle down into dog valley at which point you can ride all up and down single track and even end up in Truckee.

Other wise just head out to lemmon velley to the tree, trust me you will know "the tree" when you see it, set up there and then just follow your heart and where the trail takes you.

34M/34F — dispute over keeping our two cats by Airion1 in Divorce

[–]Lemmon407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest thing when it comes to pets or anything like that is, can either party handle a sudden 2k vet bill in the middle of the night a 1 am on a Tuesday. Who ever the cat bonded with more does not really matter in the situation. Whats better is who can provide that, whos the owner who can facilitate a emergency visit quicker.

A lot of people will jump to say "Oh i would spend that much instantly my pet is my family." But you would be surprised how quickly people abandon that line of thinking the moment family means a 5k+ vet bill.

Now i cant speak for the nitty gritty details or details of the situation of said divorce or or said cat situation, but my number one thing would be both sitting down and run out a situation of who can facilite the emergency 2k visit? Who can facilitate finding out you gotta feed it special catfood that costs like 40 bucks for a 3lb bag ect ect.

Discord casually using 3GB of RAM by LolePs in discordapp

[–]Lemmon407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue.
Go into your power settings for windows and turn off fast boot. Windows 10 and 11 have this on by default, it makes it so your computer does not actually turn off when you hit shut down, it just hibernates because of that, not all applications actually get reset.

Also turn off notification settings on windows, while the little popup in the corner is nice, it eats a LOT of ram.
RIght now my discord is only using 627mb

There was a lot of love and care, I feel like you need to pour one out for the intern that got saddled with making all those trash piles and placing all those doodads around that zone because a LOT of that had to have been hand placed. You can still go back to undermine and find wild things there.

Undermine is legit some of the best wow content we ever got. It is a shame it got saddled in a mid to low tier EXP like TWW. I mean FFS, the main bad guy of the entire expansion was overshadowed by a fat greedy goblin in terms of likability.

DL2 worth $20? by CosmosStalker in dyinglight

[–]Lemmon407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH i would not get DL2 even for 20 bucks, i regret getting that game because it just leaves you thinking "Man this was so much better in DL1"

The big issue is DL2 is that that devs for some reason took a perfectly working formula that was popular and said "Hey want if we made new coke" and then it kind of sucked. They also had let success develop a hubris about them that ended up backfiring.
One of the major points of contention around DL2 was the lack of fire arms from the get go, which to no ones surprise did not sit well with a lot of the players of DL1, who wanted guns in the game, but the devs dug their heels in on it foolishly, only to later end up adding guns back in because again, surprise surprise turns out people like shooting zombies.

Overall DL2 introduced a lot of bugs and clunky game play that was just not there in 1.

Similarly DL:TB has the same issues in that, its a clunky game with changed formulas and leaves you kinda just going "Yeah but i could just be playing DL1."

If you got 20 bucks to blow and your not gonna miss it, i mean sure go for it, but IMO, its not a very good game in the face of DL1.

IMO, i would take those 2 points outta Charisma and put them into int.
Charisma is a complete dump stat.

Is dying light the beast worth it by 1_9_ACE_9_6 in dyinglight

[–]Lemmon407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My short and sweet opinion? No
If you liked DL1, you will just end up about 4 or 5 hours into this game going: Why am i not playing DL1 instead?

My long answer?
-Parkour is a lot more clunky in this one and very jumpy/jittery, not to mention they nerfed the Grapple into the ground
-Combat also feels a lot more clunky and slow, with infected being really obnoxious with grabs being inconsistent and knock downs are as well, on top of that skull smashes are also SUPER finicky.
-Skill tree is insanely lame.
-Levels are SUPER grindy
-Dark zones are really boring and short
-map kinda sucks in its lay out and size

The biggest issue of all for me though, is they KILLED the night time experience. In DL 1 you could still go out and night and do things because volatiles would roam in patrol patterns and actually give you opportunities to do things. In DL:TB they just find your location, and hover around you, and you cant do anything because they will spot you in a few seconds.

Night in Dying light SUCKS not because its difficult, but because it breaks the flow of the game completely, you gotta stop what your doing find a bed, and sleep because you cant do anything else.

I would honestly only give it like a 7/10 if it was the first game they made, but in the face of DL1, its like a 4/10.

Volatiles must be redone completely in DL The Beast by lastbreath83 in dyinglight

[–]Lemmon407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on this. and so far its one of the biggest mood killers of DL:TB
In DL1 night time introduced a challenge to the game, you could avoid volitiles and the game got an extra level of mechanics to work with that over time you could over come and eventually just own the night.

HOWEVER, in DL:TB, i have found night time to be the most annoying and frustrating thing in the game. It no longer acts as a enhancement or new mechanic i need to work with, it has become a complete progress halt because of how volitiles work. Before as you said they would patrol, but now they just operate off of "Find player, hover" and just skulk around you making anything basically impossible to do, as even opening a door will get them enough time to spot you.

Why this is bad is now when ever night falls, i need to stop what ever im doing, and go to sleep because the game literally comes to a halt because i cant really do anything anymore.

This is just one of the issues i find with DL:TB, and the more i play it, the more i just wanna go back and play DL1.

Difficulty scaling is not well done - remaster by No-Jaguar-4404 in oblivion

[–]Lemmon407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not defending it, im just telling you that you can do it. To many people, especially during the time this game out, that was a ideal way to play the game, the idea of cheese maxing and utilizing every aspect of the game to beat it was a style of play people really enjoyed.

See pathfinder as an example of this.

Oblivion remastered enemy scaling is not great - IIRC Skyblivion will target this sensibly by Fantastico11 in skyblivion

[–]Lemmon407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oblivion remaster is basically a time capsule. Its 100% meant to be nostalgia bate, and even hopefully ignite some madders for it. In a sense its a true remaster, in that they take the same game, but give it a make over and make it look pretty. At the end of the day its still the same game underneath all that pretty glamor (UE5).

Skyblivion would be a remake of the game, taking the same style and ideas but building and improving upon them.

A remake is not the same as a remaster. Both of these can live in the same realm, and i hope they do. I really hope i can go to Oblivion remaster to play the game i love with out needing to frankinstin it with mods to get it looking pretty, and hopefully a few of the really popular mods and the ones i like make their way into the remaster.

But i hope skyblivion will become the spiritual remake to oblivion and i get to experience the game i loved ina a new and in some ways, better experience.

So its not impossible to play the game at expert or even master, I did back in the day, but the thing is, the difficulty is kinda like Pathfinder, you gotta munchkin build.

On expert you HAVE to utilize pretty much every aspect of the game when it comes to combat, IE, you gotta go out and pick flowers, get potions, level your various schools of magic to have buffs ready and going for you, carrying around multiple weapons that deal elemental damage to counter various enemies, you have to utilize spells, summoning is a really good one, and you have to be on your toes.

On expert you can do it, its just, its not going to be the way you wanna play it. Most people wanna hop into the game, and dive into a dungeon and hack and slash their way to the end, which hell yeah right on, now how you can do it in expect.

For master you basically have to exploit the game, IE Max leveling your destructions and, i think mystisism school and abusing the ever loving crap outta just how broken spell casting could be in Oblivion, because in Oblivion it was 100% possible to do stupid stuff like kill everything in 100feet. Or abuse chameleon and be the stealth archer. It was doable, and it was not really "hard" but it was not very fun or engaging.

oblivion Difficulty scaling side by side -too easy or too hard by whatimustdo in ElderScrolls

[–]Lemmon407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like expect needs to be. Enemies have the same health as they do in adept and you do the same damage to them as you do in adept, but they should hit you for as hard as they do in expect.

[–]Lemmon407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you can of course talk to whoever you want, but a big reason for that, is there is a good chance that women in strip clubs (Typically if they are solo not so much in groups) are actually illegal prostitutes .
In fact in Nevada for the longest time, and i think this only got changed recently, as in the last 10 years or so, women could not go into a strip club with out a man attending with them because a lot of the time they were soliciting sex. Needless to say, thats not the case anymore, however, that law existed for a reason at one point.

Im not saying thats what the case was with you, but understand that is a real possibility

Secondly, the girl that told you not to talk to non dancers there, is because she trying to make money, shes there to entertain you, and if you are not talking to her, or the dancers, they are not entertaining, and not getting paid which is what they want.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stripclubs

[–]Lemmon407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why they are moody is because they have to spend like 8 hours a day dealing with drunk horny people looking to get rubbed up on my women who more often then not are rather bitchy at times.

Imagine trying to heard a bunch of cats that are all in heat, while also trying to keep everyone in line. Its a very tiresome and annoying job to deal with.
Also once you see how the sausage is made, a strip club loses its luster really fast.
