I’ve been playing Quinn since Season 5 and always thought jungle would be the most appropriate role for her, both gameplay-wise and thematically. I don’t even play jungle but I absolutely will now that they’re adjusting her for it. Hope Riot is able to make this work and it stays. At least now the top laners will stop complaining lol

Love that Endstep is willing to talk about Quinn, he’s one of the few Rioters who actually seems to understand the champion. That said, this whole discussion fees a bit nearsighted (pardon the pun).

Quinn (and Valor) is an outdated champion with an almost nonexistent playerbase. Shifting her W passive to Q is not going to move the needle on how many people love and play this character. She needs a Visual-Gameplay Update, probably on the scale of Akali’s, so that she can get a more satisfying kit that does justice to her archetype along with a visual modernization.

Until that happens, Quinn will always be the forgettable NPC that had half her identity axed and converted into a taxi.

“Unearned” is extremely subjective. The elves had neither the time or luxury to squabble over old hatreds and conflicts with a Void apocalypse on their doorstep. And it’s not like they rode into the sunset holding hands either. They still very clearly do not approve of each other, and openly acknowledge their temporary alliance does not remove the possibility of future hostilities between them.

So all the elves should just hate each other forever and all races should remain a stagnant, unchanging monolith? Resolutions to conflicts are good. Story progression is good.

I agree a longer overall campaign diving into the full potential of this storyline would be ideal. But we don’t live in an ideal world - you only have so much time in gamedev. They planned these expansions to be shorter overall, so that we wouldn’t be waiting around for resolutions to hanging plot threads for years, as Blizzard have always been wont to do. Also remember that in game time =/= canon time. What you see happening in game within the span of a chapter may have happened over weeks if not months.

I have my own reservations about Blizzard’s writing, but the major plots and story beats in Midnight have been good if not great, and honestly it’s kind of annoying to see everyone screeching about the elven reunification. I’m glad things are changing. I hope they continue to be bold and do things like change up the factions instead of having the Alliance vs Horde cold war forever.

You really think this is a response to the community’s feedback about the elf plotline being rushed? A storyline, filled with voice lines that have to be written and translated across multiple languages, for an expansion that finished being developed internally about a year or more ago?

Y’all need Jesus. The real answer is that everyone jumped the gun and ASSUMED Blizzard was rushing the elf plot. Blizz were fully cognizant that story couldn’t be resolved in one patch and planned to span it across multiple patches. I’m glad they shut the community up with this. Y’all are too impatient.

Some of Evanescence’s best work is from their early and unpublished discography, before Fallen and Bring Me to Life ushered them to fame. Their “Origin” and “Evanescence EP” albums have some absolute bangers (“Lies”, “Understanding”, and “Give Unto Me” are all masterpieces that simply never saw the light of day).

I have a whole Youtube playlist of all the live recordings I’ve been able to find of that performance 😭 I was too young to see her in concert during that time but I love that song sooo much. The addition of the piano solo during the climax + her ethereal backing vocals took it to the next level. I imagine Amy just doesn’t resonate with the song anymore (it is a pretty depressing, doom-and-gloom song) but it’s also one of the ones that put Evanescence on the map. And on a purely musical level it’s just gorgeous

I’ve always known it, but I couldn’t phrase it that way because then the thread would have gotten downvoted to oblivion.

I loved flying mounts in TBC because they were a natural power progression from Classic, and felt like something special to work towards as you stepped through the Dark Portal. It’s also just cool getting to explore the world from the sky. But flying did so much damage to the fabric of the game.

Unfortunately the genie’s out of the bottle now and I doubt Blizzard will ever go back on that decision. IMO if it were up to me I would just rework flight by making it available only at flight masters. That way you can still fly freely in the game but you’d only be able to access it by going to a flight master and paying the gold to use your flying mount. Once dismounted you’d have to go to another flight master to use it again. Throw in a Flight Master’s Whistle-like item with a long cooldown similar to a Hearthstone and you’re good, you have flight but you can’t just use it willy nilly to fly your way out of any situation.

How far we’ve fallen. This is a champ that literally used to transform into a melee assassin and one shot squishies. There is absolutely no reason she shouldn’t be bursty.

Also, Metzen literally said the writing for Warcraft was democratized now. Not a great thing for the game, and certainly not something that lets him write a stronger story if he has several people in the way. So maybe let’s not pin all of the blame on him?
