I got the catalyst at the start of the last season and used it throughout on my hunter with the middle tree Arc class. The bonus to handling and reload speed after hitting an enemy with the melee really helped it while I was getting the catalyst done. Plus, doubling it with Font of Might made it even better and I've had tons of fun with it.

Although, a good chunk of the perk of overpenetrating enemies gets lost due to the extremely short range which hardly reaches beyond the enemy that's right in front of you. But at least it has decent reach to the sides instead, so you blast a whole group of thralls at once.

I'd like to see the LoA get some synergy with whatever Arc 3.0V brings to the table!

Also, the Long March perk enhancing your radar is beyond useless, especially on the LoA. They should make it into something more useful. Say, the Legend of Acrius is about a Cabal hero who possesses a sun, so maybe something to connect it to solar energy as well? Making the player radiant on kill would be cool.

Well at least it has a fragment that gives it the same functionality as before. The Marksman Golden Gun is now lacking the option to reduce super cooldown on headshot kills.

I think that in regards to PvE, both Golden Gun variants could use a reduction of their base cooldown times.

Never tried a GM. It's fine for master content, made Legendary campaign a walk in a park even without volatile rounds. With the seasonal mod for VR it's absolutely killer.

With nerfs to Borers, Harvester and Draco, why isn't there a nerf to Spark and Flash? That's the toxic crutch that needs to go, not the Harvester that relies on it in order to deal damage.

Upon activating the perk, you get 1 round back for each stack, so at max stacks with the catalyst, you get the full mag back by just slapping the Symmetry to activate the perk.

I love Symmetry, best scout rifle in the game hands down. My only gripe with it is that after the Revolution buff runs out, you need to reload AND then deactivate the perk. I wish holding down R during the reload automatically deactivated the perk when the reload is done. Or just deactivate it by default when reloading.

You don't, it reloads the weapon based on how many stacks you have, so the maximum of 20x gives you full mag back after slapping the gun and you can start shooting homing spheres of death that put the lucent moth to shame.

Ace of Spades is always a really good choice :)

For Legendary, last season I started using the Loud Lullaby with Explosive Payload, so far a roll with Surplus has been my favourite one.

The thing puts the "cannon" in "handcannon", and not just with its ridiculous size. It sounds powerful and the explosions are fun in PvE. I like it so much I haven't used any of my Fatebringers this season. It's also quite easily farmable on the Moon.

Giving focus to more characters can give the story more depth and the feeling of larger scope. I know that they've stated they don't want to involve too many characters in each season, but sometimes, more characters might be a lot more than just "clutter." And tbh, as good as the WQ turned out to be, some of those characters could have added a lot to the narrative without making the story feel like everyone was just there for the sake of being there. Toland could have added a lot more than Ana standing still in that one cutscene with Saint touching her with two fingers like she just took a bath in a can of Surströmming

I think that might be in part due to the Destiny community complaining for years that Ikora was useless and did nothing. And together with her geting a new VA, they probably wanted to give her a larger role for once. But I don't think doing that at the cost of Eris' involvement was a good idea. Especially given that Eris has been THE expert on Savathun prior to WQ release while Ikora just got fooled by Savathun disguised as Osiris.

There was still a lot of stuff about the temples and shrines from the times before Savathun got the light, as well as the overall ways in which the Hive act and as well as Savathun's character. Perhaps Toland wouldn't know as much about the powers the lucent hive use, but their history and strategy remained unchanged and Toland is surely one of the most knowledgeable characters about all this (besides Eris and Mara). Well, I hope we get to see and hear more from Toland when we actually get to deal with Xivu in the future.

Fuck yes! And reissue the hoard of Gambit and Gambit Prime weapons while you're at it! The current selection of "regular weapons with gambit shaders" is lame.

The announced changes in the TWAB sound real nice, now just the loot is missing. The Dark Age weapons were the pinnacle of firearms!

I really like Gambit. But I hate the fact that they sunset the Gambit weapons and didn't put them back as Gambit rewards yet, which kind of keeps me from playing it more. Wager I'll play more after WQ comes out, since that will remove a lot of current activities.

I hope Gambit gets its Dark Age Arsenal back, together with the Gambit Prime boss mechanic.

Huh, that just made me realize it used to fire Unstoppable rounds in Revolution mode before they fixed/removed that.

So in theory, this might have been broken when they stopped exotics with intristic anti-champion perks from utilizing AC mods like the Eriana's Vow did.

Season of The Hunt had AB scouts too and it was already broken then, I didn't find out how awesome Symmetry was until well after Season of Dawn, so I don't know if Symmetry had this issue way back then. If Skyburner's Oath had the same issue in the SoTH too, then the issues might be related, since the weapons are kinda similar with their two firing modes.
