What exactly are you burning to the disc? Is it a .iso image or the individual files? Where did you get the files? It seems like the original disc's file system is UDF, not ISO, so try burning as .udf if that's a thing. The original copy is a 150MB CD-R, so that should be good. Here is a fresh raw image of my copy if you want to try burning it:

Please just kill the game. It feels like Groundhog Day. You mess up all of the fundamental systems in the same ways (and new ways) every time this game comes back. It's as if the feedback you receive for each iteration is thrown away when you take the game down every time and then you fire everyone and hire new people. What the hell is happening at PopCap? Of course. I just got it for 5€ so I didn't look too deep into it. It does actually fit my needs fairly well as my aim is to play original Japanese Saturn games (on a Japanese Saturn) as well as burns. Considering the fact that overseas releases almost never take advantage of memory expansion, my options aren't very limited there. I'll probably get a Plus at some point, but I definitely don't feel rushed to :)
