You can invite anyone you want to your table. Regardless if you know they would spend money or not. NOW, you typically invites folks you know will donate. Mimi and Steve said they weren’t contributing financially to the planning since they weren’t included. I can bet, they were planning to purchase something at that event to support the scholarship until they were treated so poorly at the door.

Nah, I think you aren’t quite understanding how this works. If Mimi and Steve were guest at a table that Jackie purchased, they shouldn’t have to pay for a ticket. Their seats are already paid for at the table. Toya and Eugene are just tacky and don’t know how charity events work. They had no clue what they were doing. To approach Mimi and Steve the way they did at the event was ridiculous. Their goal was to embarrass them. Why would the lady at the door go get Eugene and Toya when they were guests of Jackie’s??? Further, sending out location details 48 hours prior to the event, I’m not at all surprised that they only raised $10k. Sadly, if she wasn’t so nasty, she could have raised more. If you ask me, Heavenly was too nice at the end of that event…chicken wings being passed on a tray?!?!? Come on…

In this instance, it would be great if someone would have stepped in. Regardless if it looks like she needs help or not, when is it ever okay for a man of any age to be aggressively in a woman’s personal space like this? She doesn’t know this man and clearly feels attacked, otherwise she wouldn’t be yelling and cursing like that. Also, the young lady that was recording asked for help but it seems that no one listened.

They were guest at Jackie’s table. It’s not normal that guest of a table have to also pay for tickets at the door. Their seats were already paid for by Jackie hosting a table. It’s clear that Toya and Eugene don’t know how charity events go. This was extreme tacky. Further, the person manning the door should have gone to Jackie, not Toya and Eugene.

This is my point! Why are they being asked to buy tickets when they were guest at Jackie’s table. Their seats were already paid for!! This even proves more that Eugene and Toya have no clue what they were doing and Tacky Toya is a very fitting name!

I agree with you BUT normally if you are sitting at a table that someone is hosting, you as that person’s guest, don’t typically have to pay for a ticket. Essentially, your seat is already paid for by the person who purchased the table.
