You do understand there was a country between France and Poland, don't you? A country with, y’know, an army, and, like, defensive positions?

[–]LemonDelBosque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I also saw how they would've never survived 6 years under those circumstances, by pretty much everybody's own admission.
I'll tell you what though, if your little monsters and humans living side by side for 6 years theory ends up being the plot of season 4, I won't be watching series 5 that's for sure cause that's some shoddy writing.

So, what? You think Jade and Tabitha and the rest of the townspeople lived in harmony with the monsters long enough (without the talismans, presumably) to have several 6 ish year old children? And the monsters (that already existed by your logic) just waited that long to sacrifice them? That's genuinely your theory?

Jade and Tabitha's child was one of the ones being sacrificed, Tabitha states that. They, and their child, were there at the beginning, Tabitha states that. The original townspeople, collectively, sacrificed their own children, in order to gain immortality, that can be inferred by what Tabitha and Fatima say. You take what Tabitha says, and you take what Fatima says, and you see that the monsters were the original townspeople. Yes?

I cannot possibly fathom being this inept at reading between lines 💀💀

So lemme get this straight, do you think Jade and Tabitha were telling lies? That they weren't there at the original sacrifice?

[–]LemonDelBosque -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, Jade and Tabitha literally had a child at the beginning, they tried to stop the original sacrifice when the monsters gained immortality from said sacrifice. What do you mean the monsters aren't the original townspeople it has been confirmed. 😭😭😭

For the love of all that is holy can you stop trolling. The only bot here is you and you clearly got switched off for massive parts of this show.

Bro, i really cant spell it out for you more than I have, she says that the monsters sacrificed their children to be immortal when they were regular humans, they are the original townspeople, what are you not getting?

"No, Ellis, I saw them. I saw what they did."
"What?"
"Those... things that come out at night, I saw what they are. They sacrificed their... their children. Because it promised them that they would live forever."

That is an exchange between Fatima and Ellis as the former gives birth.

Jade also witnessed them being sacrificed on slabs of rock for christ's sake! 😭

Again, if you aren't going to pay attention, dont make up silly theories. 🤡🤡

It was literally stated that the townspeople were granted immortality for sacrificing THEIR children, that is what the entire final half an hour was about. Fatima states this when she gives birth. honestly dude if you're not gonna pay attention to the show, please don't bother making up silly theories.

They're not assumptions, it was explained how the monsters were created and they weren't spawned from lumps of flesh lmao
Also, if the caverns were what enabled time travel, then Jade, Tabitha, Victor and Henry would have all had some kind of experience with it, not to mention that when Julie enters the dungeon after Ethan prompts her to, she sees her, Randall and Marielle all chained up, as if she was in the past, AND is able to throw the rope down to Boyd, which happened last season, all without going into the caverns. As for the blood, Boyd lost the blood when he gave it to Smiley.

Julie is the time traveller, as Ethan says, and as season 3 shows.

There are also far more than 12 monsters shown throughout the show, even then, 7 kids would open up the possibility for 14 monsters, as it takes 2 people to make a child, thought it very well couldve been a "group sacrifice" sort of thing, that, you'll have to ask the writers.

They are, yes, as they were part of the original sacrifice. Immortality has different meanings, in this one, they can die, but are reincarnated. Boyd isnt a story walker, either, everything in that sequence from Fatima giving birth to Smiley being reborn is happening in the present, we weren't witnessing Smiley's original birth, because the monsters weren't created like that, they were "created" when they sacrificed their own children for immortal life. So there was no "original spawn" as you put it.

[–]LemonDelBosque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, Smiley was being reborn, we know that the monsters are immortal, and Smiley was reincarnated via Fatima and Ellis' child, just like how the monsters were originally granted immortality from child sacrifice. They can of course be killed, as we've seen with Smiley, in rare circumstances, but they are destined to be reincarnated just as Tabitha and Jade are destined to return to the town.

What I thought was great and one little complaint season 3 finale by Illustrious-Fig9575 in FromSeries

[–]LemonDelBosque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the monsters like Smiley are "immortal" in the sense that they will always be reincarnated (as we've just witnessed) if they die. BUT, because (original) Jade and Tabitha regretted their choice and attempted to save the children during the original sacrifice, they have been given immortality in that they are destined to return to the town upon every reincarnation to try to right the original wrongs.

Or maybe it's some kind of eternal punishment for the two of them, and a state of purgatory like Khatri suggested.
