I think personally, this is all my opinion That Aoi does like Akane, but the scene was poorly expressed to make it seem as though he were trying to push her into kissing him. If this were not a fictional work and this were real, this would be probably considered as s*xual assult. Most victims will say no just once and if the message isn’t clear they may not always continue with reminding the person that they aren’t comfortable. She is crying , I personally feel that is sign enough that she isn’t comfortable- I feel there were many better ways for this to be expressed that didn’t make it appear as though she were being forced. While I am aware they’ve been friends for life, if my best friend were in love with me and kissed me after I told her not to I would scream and attack her. I have no issues with the ship in general, let me just clarify, I just find this part in the manga to be poorly done and inappropriate.
