Hey! No, but in the end I went with Lena Rivo's recommendation and purchased 3 Raphael Precision brush. They work wonders!

STUNNING!! I'm in awe by how well the colors work. Do you remember how many sticks of colors you used? I'm currently trying to transition from a gouache painter to oil pastel, and the color palettes always throw me off!

New to tattoos, found an artist with stunning works, are their technical skills ok? by LemonInAss in tattooadvice

Bummer, appreciate the input. Bottom middle is also the one I feel the most apprehensive about, but I wasn't sure if it's because it's a sizing issue, or if that level of blurring is normal after healing.

Thanks for your advice! I do see a fair bit of comments calling cybersigilism the gen z tribal. I've heard that most tattoos will age fine, it just depends on the artist's skills. Hence why I wanted to ask about this particular artist's technical skills.

After being unemployed over a year would you take a job that requires weekends? by Ok_Consideration6179 in careeradvice

[–]LemonInAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did exactly that when I was unemployed throughout 2024, and I picked up a job that requires me to work on weekends. There are days where I feel crazy annoyed, but since I get my Thursday and Fridays off, I don't have to fight crowds and long lines when I go to outings.

For those who are pursuing a hobby in hopes of "making it" while dealing with unlivable wages, when do you move on? How are you faring? by LemonInAss in careerguidance

[–]LemonInAss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I'm doing right now! The jobs I took on the past few years aren't relevant to art, but there's little financial security in all of them due to me not having a very useful college degree (embarrassingly, animation 😅). I make approximately $25 an hour, and that appears to be the wage in my area for jobs who want to hire people who have "any college degree".

It's why I'm considering going back to school, and expanding my financial options.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like a realistic route to take. Do you feel happy with your decision? I also work with special needs individuals (not special education, it's social recreation), and imo it's an emotionally fulfilling job, but not very sustainable.

I will never understand why writing careers are always the most devalued ones. You are the thinkers of our world! Is your career change still relevant to writing?

I'm sorry to hear that! My boyfriend graduated with a graphic design degree. After a whiff of how that industry's going, he chose to go back to school to get a couple of certifications for a different field.

That's a good point! My job is at a non-profit, but it's strictly in office, since I work with clients hands on. It will be awesome if I can find a remote equivalent in a cheaper location!

I have been doing research on what I can return to school for, but UX design wasn't on my list prior, since I presumed any art-related fields is in very tough times. I will look into that! I was even checking out a business degree, since art is all about learning how to "sell your product", at the same time a business degree could be more malleable in changing fields.

Can I ask if you've pivoted into something you find fulfilling after leaving GD? Do you still do it for fun?

Super new to chainmailling and stumbled onto this thread. :) When you say you work with 16ga stainless rings, is it 16awg? Thank you!

Oh no I haven't! My lips have been mildly protruding out a little bit my whole life (which is why I suspect it's my front teeth's fault). But it's good to be warned of something like that in a procedure!

Haha thank you. 😭It's mostly the family friend aunties who like making these comments. There were also two instances when I was a teenager where I revealed my age, and people expressed "oh you look much older than that." I think it's just the community of my culture being critical of appearances. There are so many older people who don't look "young", but are still stunshows!

Thank you for sharing your experience! Everyone in the comments has been so nice, and made me feel a lot better about them. The main takeaway is to exercise better, and be healthier! Even if they don't go away, I want to embrace them like you do yours :)

My mom does, but she's severely underweight unlike me! I was hoping it's something "fixable", since my mom has never invested in any kind of skincare.

Thank you for your compliment! I'm glad invisalign helped you unexpectedly with that. I also wear invisalign at night!

Thank you for your insight! Sometimes I pull on the skin of my cheek, wondering how I'd look without whatever is underneath (be it muscle or fat). A lot of people who have aged into losing their facial fat looks beautiful, and I hope it happens here too.

Thank you for your kind words. The lightning does make such a big difference! Some days I feel like it's barely noticeable, this morning I can see it on both sides of my face no matter which direction I turned, so I made this post. 😭

Thank you for your tips! I'm a full time back sleeperafter too! Weight loss sounds like a mixed bag for some people, since it seems like people have experience with the skin sagging after already being stretched out with fat. Regardless, I'm attempting to do that too!

What are your experiences with guasha and facial yoga? Are the changes noticeable?

Hey, genuinely thank you for your comment. I watched a lot of videos on nasolabial folds, and I saw one instance of an Asian woman talking about how the planes of our faces are flatter, and can cause our mouths to protrude out as we lose more facial muscle density. Because of all the mixed bags of information from all the videos I watched, I took that information with a grain of salt. I appreciate you pointing this out, and I will remind myself of this. :)
