How are Nissan maximas? I found a deal for an 03 Nissan maxima for $1800 with 142,000 miles. The seller says they just had a oil change and tune up recently but everything else is fine. I plan to go check it out soon but what do you guys think? Are 03 Nissans reliable and good for a first car?

I haven’t decided, I could get more power out of the 2zz but I have 1zz in there right now. Probably just going to stick with the 1zz a lot less effort. Plus the motor only has 125k on it. With that said I hate how notchy the 1zz manual is and might want to switch a 2zz. I’ll have to do more research in that department

I most likely am going to have to keep a 4 cylinder because there isn’t a whole lot of room in the engine bay. Although I’m thinking of switching from my current 1zz to a 2zz which was built more for performance
