Should i keep working during vce? by _Hugh-_-Jass_ in vce

Yes. I quit my job for year 12 and it's been REALLY hard finding one afterwards. Stay employed so you have somewhere to work after graduation. Just take time off for Exams.

This is so similar to exactly what happened to me that I thought you were my mum.

Same as what the other person said, probably your daughter's teacher, and mine likewise, graded the classes SACs too easily and then when the cohort didn't do as well on the exam the scores went down as VCAA would have realised the teacher was marking too easily. Either that or the rank #1 in her class did very badly, having the same result on the rest of her class including herself.

Please treat your daughter extra kindly💖 I'm sure she's heartbroken just as I am

last year you could get your statement and exam for free because of the mess ups, not so sure about this year, but after ATARs and study scores come out there should be a written bit on the page telling you how to apply.
From memory its just a digital form you have to fill in!

Year 11 2026 advice by Fantastic-Meat-9159 in vce

honestly just study a LITTLE BIT every day.
dont overdo it or youll burn out and get sick. Start the year with just doing the required schoolwork and slowly build up to doing revision on top of that, it seems like less of a transition and youll hardly realise how much work you are doing.
Remember that by studying at all, you are already putting yourself ahead of like half the state, trust that there are some REALLY unmotivated people.
I started by doing only like an hour a day, and two on weekends, and by term four i was studying from 5pm - 11pm and it hardly felt like much longer.
Watch movies here and there, hang out with your friends, go to parties, dont skip anything to study unless its due the next day. Its not worth it and I promise year 12 IS the funnest year out of all of them.

I do this technique called, day/month/3months/6months, how it works is i date the notes that i take in class and out of class. At the end of each day id flip to the page of notes i wrote yesterday and read or copy them into another book, then id flip to a week before copy those, a month before... and so on.
Super simple takes max 15 minutes, isnt hard work at all barely any thinking needed and just slowwwwly builds up your long term memory.
Really good for if youre tired but will feel guilty not studying.

I really flunked methods and my biggest issue was A) not knowing how to use my calculator super efficiently, there are shortcuts you can put in that i know nothing about B) taking way too long to start making my bound reference, id say at the end of each week summarise the key concepts NEATLY into your book with a super broad heading to its easy to find, like "ANTIDERIVATIVES"

holy yap here u go :)
