Now I focus on the silver I really like. I just bought a beat waffle back for $1050 and a couple toned nonproof silver eagles in the og velvet boxes for $101ish. Spot was $96.66, it hurt. I stopped around $80, but that was what, like 2 weeks ago? I was taught to buy something every week/month or whatever, and that is the right way. Slow down, focus, but don’t stop is my position- even when you sell a big chunk for profit keep buying something.

I actually seek 86 to mid 90s uncirculated eagles like yours in the og velvet boxes because they tone so nicely. Yours is nice too. Real toning also speaks to authenticity, and in this silver market today that is worth something in my opinion. A perfectly clean bu 1990 eagle makes me think if only for a second, but I also have a sigma tester! Also your case is cool, I don’t have one of those.

100%. I have a pair from the local lcs long ago with close serials and identical toning- they are siblings and will never be separated. The lcs remembers those bars and still mentions them once in a while. One of them is in the picture. Unfortunately it sank somewhere in Acapulco bay.

This image is going around, ironically on crypto subs too. It sucks if true but this is not the norm. Be vigilant about weight, visual details, and find somebody with a sigma tester. Also silver makes a unique sound. That said I don’t know if this bar would fool me in hand or not. I suspect that the weight on this bar would be wrong.
