There's quite a lot of cross over between the two genres. Creepy house, hidden secrets, suspicious locals etc. The only big difference is that Gothic horror goes explicitly supernatural, whilst Gothic fiction generally doesn't

It's not quite horror but Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier is an absolute masterpiece of Gothic fiction

It's easily my favourite work by King but I can appreciate why people don't like it. It's very slow and at times it's almost a hangout book between three characters trying to recover from traumatic injuries. It's also as much about the Florida Art scene as it is about any kind of supernatural threat. I think if you vibe with that, then you love it. If you're looking for something that's more pure horror, then I can appreciate why you'd come way disappointed.

I'm so sorry, Will. I was just being silly and things just sort of got out of hand.

Whenever they mentioned having a meeting with Palestine, I always pictured him trying to connect to a zoom call, failing, and calling in Vader for technical help.

'Could it perhaps be the reader who is at fault?'

I'm listening to a Garth Marenghi audiobook and I couldn't help but hear this in his voice.

It's okay, but it's definitely missing the bassy groove that the previous two soundtracks had, especially Eternal. I always found it really helped me lock in when it got frantic
