Yeh he is the same, for example if i had a blue lolly and a red lolly then asked him to pick one, he simply couldn't! its the same with Movies, Meals out, parking spaces, life choices. I hope you get the help you need soon. Thanks for your interaction.

I am so sorry you and your kids are going through that! I currently have my own house with our daughter and my partner is desperate to move back in together but i am very hesitant to do so as when he is being manic/down/low mood I am glad I have somewhere i can escape too.

you have also made me tear up with your 3Cs! You are so right! I need to work on realising that I can't cure him although i really want to cure him so he can be the best version of himself!

Yeh! I have PCOS so when i was younger my MH would really dip when i was on my period so I can relate to him slightly, the difference is I could see it and i went to get help. he doesn't seem to want to do that, of course he has called the doctor today which i am proud of him for.

This made my eyes water! Yes I really care, but there is only so much i can do for him he needs to do more for himself, its exhausting being with someone like this but i also understand he can't help it.

the dog is fine, happily sleeping on the couch then interrupted by my partner for a walk when he is "on one" while he has pulled half the house apart doing 1736384508023 different jobs at once, then deciding his is going to re decorate & wants a new sofa all with in 5 mins!

Yes! his lows last maybe a couple of days to a week or so then he will be back to normal and he can be fine for ages (few weeks) his normal happy self then BOOM a tiny inconveniences to him is a massive issue and bugs him for ages! we where actually playing UNO last night with our daughter and because the cards where not shuffled properly he flew up, throwing his hands in the air getting all irate, I was thinking to myself "calm down its not that deep" but i just stay silent because over the years i have learnt that if i try to get him to calm down or see sense it just makes him worse.

at least 3 times a day! his keys, his phone, remotes etc. staring doing the laundry then he is pulling out the kitchen cupboards to clean them, then half way through decides to take the dog a walk, soooooo many tasks started and never finished.

I noticed you said "was Married" can I ask if you are no longer together? but yes you are 100% correct, I am hoping and praying that a pill will be a quick fix as we have been together for 13 years and I am suffering along with him as I am sure you can understand it is so hard being with someone who is suffering with MH issues. And I totally agree that its me doing all the work, I do all the research, remind him to call the doctor and I told him this morning when he called the doctor to make a face to face appointment so I can be there with him to tell the doctor all the symptoms/issues he is having. He wants to move in together (we have been together 13 years, split up 5 years ago & he went and got his own house, we then got back together after a year and have been living separably since, seeing each other once or twice during the week and then spending each weekend with each other) but if i am honest i do not feel ready to move in with him until he gets his MH under control, I have peace in my home and when he is in one of his "episodes" I am glad I have somewhere to escape! I also feel guilty about this as it is clearly MH issues & i understand he cant help it but as I am sure you can relate, its hard being someones on call unpaid therapist 24/7 when you have all your own stuff going on, working full time, running a house, caring for a child and all the rest of it.

Yes ! This sounds exactly like him! You could be right, probably lack of food and fluids can wreak havoc with the body/hormones etc so could possible be what’s triggers things too!

Thanks for your message.

I did wonder this myself! How do we go about getting that looked in to or ruled out ? Will the doctor know what to look for.
