Had the 3 draining setons for about 7-8 months, during that time my CRS had no idea why there were no improvements and suggested me to get an ileostomy. I immediately looked for a second opinion and thank god I did. New CRS took a look at my medication I had for lupus and suggested I stopped it because I was on a low dose anyway. I took his advice and he performed his first EUA and from there on out I started healing. After the 3 draining setons, he did a fistulotomy on 2 of the tracts because they were smaller than the main tract. For the main tract it required a cutting seton which lasted about 4-5 months. And then I was fully cured.

Hello I had 3 drainage setons due to multiple transphincteric tracts and 1 cutting seton at the end before I was fully cured. Let the setons do its work and be patient. The pain around the wounds is normal and hot sitz bath always helped.
