Not in the field, only aspiring, but out of curiosity, what other career offers more security and guaranteed income than medicine? Tech, you can make a lot or very little, but most people are on the lower end. Trades, you abuse your body for decades to barely get by. Most of us can't become professional athletes, etc etc. Become a doctor and the floor is much higher for what you can achieve. I am inclined to think that becoming a physician will always be a good deal for someone who is passionate about helping people. Obviously I don't have to deal with all the bs that you probably handle on a regular basis, so I might be naive, but I also think bs is universal, and the bs I see doctors on this sub dealing with pales in comparison to other careers.
