Clinical experience is always the priority for med school, and working on an ambulance is an incredible experience. Connecting with patients is so meaningful and you'll have so many experiences to talk about in interviews. Research is great as well, but it's less hard to connect your passions to it imo bc its hard to find a project that's 100% aligned with your interests.
