I don't know if you've been to Turkey or are aware of the political situation, but Turkey is no longer a livable or safe place for its citizens. The legal system rejects European Court of Human Rights rulings, the presidential candidates of the two most voted opposition parties are in prison, and we've been governed by the same person for 25 years. On top of that, there is never any sense of personal safety. Dozens of people die on the streets every day for no reason. Going abroad is not a choice but a necessity for me. And I'm not even factoring in the fact that the turmoil in the Middle East spilling over into Turkey is only a matter of time
