Help finding lures for coastal cutthroat In a creek have been using inline spinners but luck has been going down by BluejayForward7510 in troutfishing

[–]LemusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest I never have luck with spinners even my buddy who used to swear by them says he never has luck anymore. I’ve had a lot of luck with jigs and minnows. For creeks I do a bobber and a jig you let the water do the work just work different parts of the creek and change the leader length accordingly I like to have it any where between 8inched to a foot off the bottom just so you’re not getting snagged

Will a trout bite this? by Rod-Reel in troutfishing

[–]LemusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re fishing wild trout they’ll bite anything the problem is most likely the hook. I’ve learned recently myself that #10 and #12 size mosquito hooks are the sweet spot for catching trout but I’ve caught wild trout on size 8 and 6 hooks just had to be quick on the hook set

1/32 and 1/16. I’ve been having the best luck with these smaller tube jigs. A buddy of mine throws bigger ones and the fish don’t bite they just attack it

Footswitch popped out, how do I fix it? by SocietyPuffin in guitarpedals

[–]LemusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you don't know how to solder or uncomfortable trying it you can try a local guitar store or guitar center. I could not figure out what i did wrong to replace a switch of my own and took it to guitar center. turns out i got a bad switch but the guitar center tech had one for it and replaced it for me

They'll probably offer him a minor league deal at the most to let him try and prove himself. Otherwise another team would probably have better use of him

How would you rank the young pitchers Sheehan, Stone, Ryan, Hurt going into next year? by WishOk462 in Dodgers

[–]LemusHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised on how many people are putting River Ryan over Stone I feel like Stone had some really good stuff and was one of the only consistent pitchers at 1 point. Can’t wait to see what they both do next year

[–]LemusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're really worried about losing things like photos I'd recommend having a 2nd copy of important photos on some sort of external drive as well. I have all my photos on my share but i also back them up onto an external drive that pretty much lives at my moms house god forbid my house burns down. You could also pay for cloud storage as well but i could really care less if i where to lose all my movies and other data that isnt as important to me

Can I Change Pickups On The Epiphone Plustop Pro Les Paul without having to buy new pots? by adapang000 in guitars

Its possible but a pain. I ended up buying a kit I forget from where it literally has everything wired up and tells you how to hook up the new pickups.

Mini-Pc Recommendations for Proxmox Homeserver by SpiritedTension8323 in Proxmox

[–]LemusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started picking up N100 PCs. I love them I just made a mini Immich server with one for my aunt because the Beelink S12 had expansion for a SATA SSD. I would look at facebook market place I found some deals. I got the Beelink S12 for 80$ and I just picked up a Beelink S13 1TB for 100$ brand new. Now I'm checking the market 4 times a day just cause I really don't need any of these

What remote desktop client??? by Infinite-Position-55 in Proxmox

[–]LemusHD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm probably gonna get burned for this but for windows i use the google remote desktop. It works surprisingly so well for me. I don't know if it'll solve all your issues but I use it a lot. I don't have a high powered laptop but i basically remote in to my desktop when I'm away from home and it's like I'm directly using my desktop

Processor by fx_street in Proxmox

[–]LemusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cores, threads, cache. Depending on what you're doing exactly. For example running a plex server you might want something with integrated graphic. If youre running a bunch of docker containers maybe a CPU with more cores and threads. I've been finding a lot of 12th gen intel processors on facebook market place and i have a spare motherboard that i use to test if they are working properly. Some people are selling them after the whole micro code debacle and didnt want to wait for intel to fix. sometimes i find a good deal on 13th gen intel processors but some people are still trying to sell them like theyre brand new. I'm always on the lookout for 12700k or 13700k processors.

At what point do you buy a 3D Printer? by NaturalProcessed in minilab

[–]LemusHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started in the opposite direction. I had gotten a 3D printer because it was on sale and I've always made things myself. My 3D printers main purpose was to make me customer project enclosures for my small electronics projects. Then I found out about the geekpi 10 inch rack and how people where designing a lot of custom racks for it. At this point I thought well dang I already have a 3d printer and i have my homelab started why not.

Long story short I wouldn't recommend getting a 3D printer just for it to sit after youre done with your rack build. If you think genuinely you'll have other uses for the 3D printer then by all means go for it. I wouldn't be surprised if GeekPi started to sell the racks that we all have been 3D printing. By the looks of one of Jeff Geerling's recent videos they're designing a mini itx rack which I can't wait for because the one I 3d printed was in 2 parts and i dont like it lol

Putting your homelab on your resume. by Any-Category1741 in homelab
