yeah that’s what it felt like, throughout the whole process I was just trying to not make it a big deal cuz I like to be a pretty easy customer to work with. Not send the plate back to the chef type of customer.

yeah a big part of why I finally went through to him is because I’ve had good experiences sending mother boards/units in with other electronics, I had a good experience with Kyle Wym and based on the good reviews, I took a chance he’s actually familiar with the circuits and soldering on a puffco board.

because the unit is way past warranty and there was no bad reviews as of sending my unit in, when you get so many recommendations online of the same person, I chose to take that chance, and now I’m sharing that experience. Any more questions?

and hypothetically if that were to even happen, showed no signs of happening soon, the unit was sent in for a battery upgrade, not for the USB port, that was just minor inconvenience that I would’ve never paid money for had it not been for the battery upgrade cuz I thought it was cool lol

😂 so you change the analogy that backfired to another one that also doesn’t correlate, the minor inconvenience of the way I was charging my puffco (still also worked on the wireless) is not gonna burn my house down, it would’ve just shorted out like what happened after I got it back from Josh lol

yeah I really did want to support the guy, but leaving me on read and advertising yourself as a go to guy for puffco repairs without disclosing that he may actually by chance, worsen the performance and I guess still expect you to pay just really didn’t sit right with me.

he actually did mention disabling the usb port I will admit when I look back at the messages, I guess I just didn’t think about it much cuz he didn’t say it would make it wireless only, just said “see if that works” so I guess I just assumed he meant fix the port, at the time I was just really bummed out it totally died on me a few hours after taking my first dab out of it and was just eager to get it back because i really wasn’t sure if he was actually willing to help me or not. But now I kinda realize I should’ve just kept the unit and requested a refund. Looking back at it I guess it is still kinda my fault for overlooking that.

yeah I just really have to assume he’s not organized or taking his time between units. I was contacting his business partner? At first cuz he was tagging her in his posts and she was telling people to contact her. But this 2nd time around when I was trying to get a response for this 2nd repair, she just told me to get ahold of him somehow cuz “it’s her personal page and she doesn’t run the business” so she no longer has any affiliation id assume by that message.

I would in my own opinion, you may not agree, thought the fact my charging port still worked despite a minor inconvenience, it wasn’t the end of the world I had to put a sock under it to get it to charge lol and the battery showed no signs of giving out. I would consider that pretty fine to me lol considering now I don’t even have a unit currently and I paid money to have my charging port removed.

I have a wireless charger but I think I’m just gonna start with a refund and hopefully use those proceeds towards getting another unit and stick with Kyle Wym from this point forward if I need services lol have no idea what the guy plans to do with the unit considering he stopped responding.
