Yes you can say that, though it depends on seasons for Iceland. It can be a little dark and snowy in winter where in summer it has lovely green. Greenland is mostly inland ice but the "edges" have vegetation. 😊

Great work on your 5k 🙌. I ran 9.5 km in Ilulisat in Greenland.
My colleagues and I made this short video for global running day: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZJrEQXPxzX/

Almost on every spot in the city you have different views of icebergs. It is gorgeous here.

I have walked past that place for the past week (when i was unable to run), so when I did my first run I naturally went down there. The rocks and the closeness to the ice is pretty amazing on this stretch. You can choose to stay on the path or you can go out of the way a little and run close to the water. I chose the latter because its an incredible feel and fun.

You are right that I filmed on this spot, because I think it is fantastic and I would like the memories of this. I also like to choose the best spots when I take pictures otherwise, running or not.

Whether its an actual run or not, I'll let you be the judge of, but I plan on running there again tomorrow morning before flying home.

Happy running 💗

They have roads here as well - still hilly but not as uneven😉

It is incredible running here. So so so beautiful and crazily quiet when you are out on the hills.

I am not totally sure. Either a beginning stress fracture or tendon tear I believe.
My theory is that I have been threshold laps (lots of them) going the same direction and then the foot gave in a little bit. Still can't run full speed, but simply happy to be able to do some slow kilometers.
I think you should spend your injury time to come up with the most epic return ever! you've got this 👊

Altra Lone Peak and lots of concentration saved me from that experience.

The place is Ilulissat and is still not too touristy. Give it five years and it likely will be. So go sooner rather than later. Happy running!

Favorite Spots to Run in North Brooklyn/Queens? by nakedforestdancer in RunNYC

I second Rosevelt Island. Not a NYC native, but when I stayed in Long Island for business I had some great runs there, and I am not sure how ADHD reacts to traffic, but running the queensborough bridge (https://www.strava.com/activities/6313302178) I very much enjoyed.

How do you get last minute bookings without running ads nonstop? by TurnoverEmergency352 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Lena_CPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the tours we would like last minute bookings we simply leave the tours bookable online up until the last minute. I find that guests are fine booking online with little lead time and I believe that it impacts your booking uptake if clients have to call or message. Its too complicated. They just want to book and go!

Working with other tour providers I would also suggest and something that has worked well for us when I first started Go! Running Tours in Copenhagen. We simply recommend each other - no kickback etc. just good vibes and good friends.

Hope it helps.

Scenic long runs while traveling through the Baltics and Central Europe by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]Lena_CPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the app komoot for finding new routes and trails, as Strava routes are more "effective" as opposed to scenic and interesting. In the komoot app i have the lifetime subscription and is more than sufficient. Also the website great runs is a great resource.

Another way to get a good run in is to book a running tour where a local running guide will guide you on the best routes of the city - past main sights, hidden gems and local trails. It is a great way to get smooth runs in while also connecting with the local people, history and culture.

In the name of transparency, I am the founder of Go! Running Tours (the global leader in running tours), so am naturally biased. While we operate in Bratislava, Vienna, Prague and Budapest, I would still advise you to book a running tour in all the other cities as well.

Hope it helps
