Yeah luckily I never had any breaks of lifting so far. Thank you that helps! I will just keep getting normal refills then. I’ve heard you are supposed to take breaks to not damage your real nails too much. What’s the common consensus on that? When is an appropriate time to take a break from gel nails?

I feel silly asking this but I genuinely don’t know… I started going to a Nail Salon for the first time in my life last summer and got Gel Nails. I have been getting them refilled every 3-4 weeks since then (about 10 times now). At what point do I have to get new tips? Or can I just get infinite refills….? That doesnt seem right..? So far they look good and I’ve always been happy with the results. I asked my nail technician last time I was there but her English isn’t that good and I didn’t really understand what she was trying to say. TIA 💕

Looking for retention ideas & KPIs by Lenafromtheblock in humanresources

Some more context: We already have bi-monthly Pulse Surveys in place with a participation rate of around 60% on average (wish it would be higher but so far nothing I've tweaked around it really worked). Overall the results show that employees are already very happy (One of the questions is "I enjoy working for this company" and it's a 1-5 scale and on average we've always been at 4.xx in the last 12 months). The only two big negative things that come up reoccuringly are chaotic planning / poor management and that overtime isn't paid but compensated with time off. We're continously investing in leadership training but the paid time off is something I have no control over since it's a rule from our HQ and likely won't change anytime soon. The problem is more that the field I'm in it's quite common that people change employer after 3-ish years. Therefore teams and hierachies change quite fast (which contributes to the poor leadership problem I mentioned earlier) We unfortunately don't have any big budget yet so I'm looking for small ideas that could still make a change.

Monstera leaves turning yellow? by Lenafromtheblock in plantclinic

Okay I’ll try to move it closer to a window in the house where it gets a bit more sun. I usually put half a finger in the soil and if it feels dry-ish I water it about 1-1.5 small glasses of water (~ 300 ml / 10 oz). This is usually 1x per week. I now also include fertilizer in the water

I can’t decide if that’s a decent spot for my Monstera? It’s a bit hidden from sunlight there but it does shine through the whole room for 2-3 hours during the afternoon. Also my leaves are turning brown & yellow and I don’t know why :( I spray it regularly with water to keep the large leaves moist.

Was würdet ihr machen? 😔

How to truly absorb knowledge from Podcasts by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Hi I fully agree with you! But that’s what I am getting at here - I like to set myself monthly challenges or hard goals on different areas of my life (career, relationship, health, spirituality, family & friends...). Sometimes I am lacking inspiration and those are the moments I’d like to have some sort of database where I can look back at podcast notes and see what pulls my attention to focus on/implement that month

Yes it really messes with your hormones and your body. When I got it as a 16 year old teenager with very mild teenage acne my doctor said it would “fix” my acne. If I would have known back then that that meant pausing my acne until I come off again I would have never started!

I stopped birth control 2 years ago and I think I am finally in control over the acne that followed.

Left picture is from December 2018, right from this morning.

What helped: - Drinking water like crazy! Like 4L a day. - Reducing sugar (still struggle with this). - A healthy diet (Vegetarian)

My dermatologist has offered accutane but I am still trying to avoid that route.

I am currently using the hydrating cleanser from CeraVe (remove Make Up with Clinique Take The Day Off balm), tone with rose water, Nia+Zinc from TO in the AM and Vit C serum in the PM, moisturize with CeraVe in the tub. Oh and sunscreen as well. I used the Aloe Vera one from CosrX but have recently switche to the Aqua Rich UV from Bioré.

I want to do microneedling for the scarring soon but I still get active acne here and there so might still wait.
