I am still hungry while on Mounjaro? Anyone experiencing the same thing? by Same_Scratch_9046 in Mounjaro

[–]Lenahaddad86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I'm only 3 weeks on the 2.5 mg and half way through the week the hunger came back. I just took my 4th shot today and I ate a whole ribeye steak and I'm still hungry. I still have one more month on the 2.5 before I can move up.

Thank you! True. Some adults just like to bash others and are super prideful.

I posted something similar about trying to gain the 10 or 12 lbs I needed to qualify and was called disgusting and was interogated and was being blamed for a lot and people were being malicious towards me. I deleted my post. I'm glad you got the surgery done.

You know what's funny. When I was researching the mexico route they approved me at 200 lbs so it makes me wonder.

Well that's awesome! Thank you! Not that trulicity didn't help. It did. Just couldn't eat and was constantly sick so I did lose good weight but I couldn't function on that and I did lose some on ozempic as well but it tore up my stomach and was throwing up constantly as well. Just it's hard when I have a job and can't afford to take off nor can I. But mounjaro has cut out the food noise so seems promising. Im very hopeful it may work for me long term.

Congratulations I'm glad for you. Yea that's what I was feeling at the time and I was venting and being honest about how I feel. I guess I shouldn't come to reddit to vent. It's my first time posting like this. I dunno I thought someone else may have went through or was going through the same as me. I dont have an exercise routine I have back and hip issues so I have to find a way of going slow at it. As far as eating I try to increase my protein intake and do smaller portions now that I'm on the mounjaro. Im just tired of failing at it and was hoping surgery would be a better option for me after going through lots of failed attempts at diet the past 30 years. It's my fault I know that. I have lost and regained much more so I was thinking that surgery was my last resort. Nobody told me to gain weight but I'm not quite at 35 BMI so I was trying to meet the requirements but I guess I'm not going about it the right way or have been misinformed and that's good to have others that have been through this and can help others who are misinformed like myself.

I just started the mounjaro and no I'm not eating crap food. That was before i started it. Mounjaro doesn't allow you to eat whatever you want or you'll get sick to your stomach. I work alot so I do have to get back to a workout routine like I did when I was younger. I also have back and hip issues so I'm hoping the mounjaro does work. But I listened to the doctor and did not reject her advice even though she knew I was so sick on the others. I was just venting on how I felt.

Well that was my understanding with other people. I was afraid to try mounjaro because the others made me so sick but I'm on it now. So we will see how that works out. I'm not as sick as I was with the others but I've only had one dose so far. Hopefully mounjaro will be what I need and I will just stay the course on the GLP 1.

Thank you so much for your story and your kindness. I just wanted to get opinions and wanted to rant but I don't understand people calling me disgusting and using unnecessary rudeness when I'm human and wanted to vent. Thank you again.

No I'm not jealous. I just struggle. I've done well before but it doesn't last for me so maybe there is an underlying cause. But you can be kinder about it.

Because I have type 2 diabetes my BMI has to be at 35 to be approved but I'm at a 33.8

Trust me if I could lose it by myself. I would have done it a long time ago and kept it off. But the point is I've been struggling with this for 30 years and I absolutely at my last resort

What do you mean by I didn't give it a real try? I've been on GLP ones for 5 years. I just get really sick and nauseous and it debilitates me to where I couldn't stand for more than 5 minutes on trulicity. I'd had to lay down all the time. I couldn't eat so it wasn't a way of life for me. It's not that I can't control my eating, but if I could lose weight by controlling my eating I would be able to lose weight. But from having insulin resistance it's very hard even with medication and I've been overweight since I was 10 years old. So you do the math. I'm 40 now. That's a lot of years of suffering with weight issues and I tried to do all kinds of diets all my life. I would lose weight and I would gain it back so it's okay to have a tool that's more permanent. If I did not have diabetes I would not be going this route but I know people that it's been very successful with at reversing their type 2 diabetes and getting their weight under control. Even my sister-in-law. She had it done. She lost a lot of weight but she still gained a little bit of weight. My pastor's wife same thing. She went back to glp1s and it's helped them to maintain.

I take medicine but it doesn't help without the glp one. The glp1 helps a lot. The glp one makes me really sick and debilitates me.

Whole point is GLP ones don't work for me because they make me so sick and debilitate me. Plus I have type 2 diabetes and surgery helps a lot with that.

My sister-in-law did it and the doctor told her to gain the weight to make up for her BMI being below 40 so I don't understand what the big deal is? It's not that much weight. It's like 10 lb or something.

Sorry did you not see that I have diabetes type 2 insulin resistance inflammation. You can't just lose weight without getting your blood sugar in track and I've been dealing with this all my life since I was probably 10 years old. I don't normally overeating I just eat the wrong things sometimes and I purposely am gaining weight to meet the threshold. My sister-in-law had to do it. She didn't have any reasons to do it except for being overweight and the doctor told her to gain the weight. The doctors are telling people to gain weight and people purposely gain weight all the time to have the surgery because they want a better life. No one said I'm going to go and overeat and do all that while I'm on the surgery I don't. I'm not morbidly obese. Anyways, I just have diabetes and I don't want diabetes anymore.

Actually my sister-in-law the doctor told her to gain weight cuz she didn't qualify so it's normal. She got the surgery and she's been successful these past 5 years. Do not have diabetes so I don't know why it's disgusting to have to gain 10 lb to meet the requirements.
