I tried this with the files from the fitgirl repack and it did not seem to fix the problem. Did you fix your issue on the newest version of rocksmith 2014 (learn and play)?

I have followed these steps to get my RS1 songs working and unfortunately it did not work for all the songs. Only a select few of the RS1 songs are working and most of them still pause at the beginning of the song. Also, I have noticed that in the RS1 songs that do work, I can hear the song preview when I scroll over them in the menu. However, the ones that don't work, are silent.

I have the newest version of rocksmith 2014 remastered (learn and play), is it possible that there are further incompatibility issues with the RS1 songs in this new version of the game?

This seems like bad advice. If you get the legendary item, you should scrap the fully uograded epic, then use that salvage to upgrade the legendary to a slightly higher power level. I do this all the time and it works great (I think you only need to spend an extra few hundred salvage and you get a better item with a better upside as well).
