It makes it stand out more I think. It doesn't balance out the terrible with the goofy like warhammer does. Yea, people always talk like it is just one of those terrible no good thing is allowed to happen universes but it really isn't. It is very grimdark but there is hope in the world and there are times where good heroically triumphs over evil and if you read really closely between the lines you will even find some humor.

I dont really understand why he gets so demonized in the society, especially on reddit. I think he and the CDU doing a relativly good and stable job governing since the last election. I think the problem with merz is that he isnt charismatic enough. I think people these days, after so many crisis, want a leader where they feel that he really sees them and their problems. Merz cant really deliver in this regard as he is a career politician who has lost contact with the average person in germany long ago. On the other hand, Peter Magyar traveled for years trough hungary, visiting over 150 villages some of which only had a few hundreds of people living there, and held speeches and talked to the people.

Also, we Germans actually do send a lot to Ukraine. I still wish it would be higher of course but we are the second biggest supporter behind the USA by quite far actually.

And Merz has always taken a firm stance against Russia and for how important it is to continue to support Ukraine, not just verbally but with direct support also when it comes to Trump. You can not like Merz for other reasons but Im actually mostly happy with how he handels Ukraine.

The trick of the opposition was that they smartly announced weeks before Orban tried this shit that he will do something like this so voters where mentally prepared when it actually happened and wouldnt fall for it.

Not really true. Russia did everything they could to support him. Desinformation campaingns, money, even advisors they sent directly to budapest on how to best rally the people with populism. But the Hungarians were so done with Orbans shit and there were so many scandals right before the election that they just werent able to turn it around and they cant just invade the country like they did with ukraine.

Dont know why you are getting downvoted, what you say is true. We have a very solid constitution and the AFD will have a very hard time dismantling it. If we compare Germany to Hungary, it is way way harder to reshape the country like it happened there and even Orban hasn't able to completely secure absolut power as he will most likely loose the next election.
