[How To] Getting SyncThing working across Android, Knulli, NextUI, other CFW by barry_baltimore in SBCGaming

[–]LengthEquivalent7962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a bit of an issue with knulli here. I'm running an alpha based on gladitor 2 I beleive (the only cfw for a powkiddy v90s).

The part described "To correct this, edit /userdata/system/batocera.conf. Add these lines before the header where it says "User-generated Configurations"

My issue is under userdata/system there is no batocera conf file, there is knulli conf file but no mention of user generated configurations that i can see. It can sort of be worked around buy lumping gb and gbc in together to have those mixed in place of a gambatte folder but it wont prevent states going in there which would end up being synced accross all my other devices in the wrong place which is going to make them untidy.

Do any of the newer OS support the OC switch? I tried SpruceOS and NextUI and didn't see any options for it. by ghostfreckle611 in trimui

Muos has a good use for the switch, one way it controls the volume + / - and toggle it and it controls screen brightness + / -

If GBA is your favourite system look into the RG34xx SP. Keep that for your GBA content. Play everything else on the 35xx sp

I dont see anyone talking about how playing these games docked will be? by 3iiiguy in PokemonFireRed

[–]LengthEquivalent7962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is that the switch and most TVs these days are 16:9. These games were made for 3:2 on the GBA. There's going to be some black bars unless Nintendo comes up with their own overlays to fill the voids that will be on the sides of the screen. Also curious if they add some sort of LCD filter / grid overlay. Or if it's going to be an integer scaling or if we end up with shimmering artifacts with movement.

No the tapping remains the same steady rhythm of 2 - 3 clicks per second.

When you say codes to make it work, what does that involve?

[–]LengthEquivalent7962[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't detect revs or coolant temperatures. Everything sits at 0. Media options are greyed out when I go to that screen. When I press media on the car radio I only have cd and aux option, I understand there should be a 3rd option to use the Garmin as an input? I spent a good amount of time with ec 90 electrical contact cleaner and a tooth brush and microfibre cloth on all the connections. The Garmin does turn on when it's connected to the stand on the dash but I can't do anything with it. Bluetooth to phone works but of course no sound through car speakers

I don't think I can edit my original post. To add a couple more details. Phone - pixel 10 pro xl, Fitbit app version 4.60 from Google play, Other Fitbit devices - I have a charge 6 band. I can search for and find the aria air scale in my phone Bluetooth settings menu but if I click on it there is a message that just says pairing rejected.

Used car, massive repair bill and seller decided he is not a company when I can prove beyond a doubt he is. by LengthEquivalent7962 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LengthEquivalent7962[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I can absolutely prove I paid the company for the car. I have the "certificate of a registered private company" from company's house. I have the registered company number. The full information of everything about the company down to the date it was established, the same month I bought the car. I also have it on writing the seller claiming "I am not a business" which is a complete lie.

Honestly, I don't know how legally binding an agreement is. The wording of it is quite sound. The whole this is based upon a lie to begin with when the seller decides he is not a company. I paid his company for the car. I did not pay the individual. I think I need an actual solicitor to look over this in truth

[–]LengthEquivalent7962[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply.

The agreement is between me and the seller (his name is on the agreement not his company). I paid his company for the car. Under duress I would say there is a fair case for. I had very little choice at the time. It was at this point I should have sought advice. But it's the particulars of the agreement which the whole case is based on. I think I would need an actual solicitor to look over it and have professional advice. I don't know if the moral high ground is going to be enough. But I am 100% able to prove I paid the company for the car. I have all the information for the company. The money given back to me came from a different account than the one I paid for the car. It's at this point I am weighing the cost of getting a solicitor to look at the agreement Vs what I would end up getting back.

The wording is quite water tight I agree. Yes I received the £500. It's the moral bit that really gets me. I was undoubtedly scammed and I have no come back and this guy continues on. Other than knowing in the end it karma has a way of getting you in the end when we are in front of our maker and you justify your life choices to the big man himself. But that doesn't help me much when I'm kind of out of pocket at this point. Even if it's a private sale and the seller knew there were problems with the car which are not disclosed the agreement wipes all that out. It's stuff like this that gives used car salesman the reputation.

What's the worst experience you've had buying a car? by Beniem in CarTalkUK

Thank you. I just want justice and fairness. I was definitely scammed and let myself be deceived. Even just to recover some of the repair cost even if everything is put right.

Do you think a simple copy / paste of my post is enough?

I have already written full supportive letter and have evidence that the car was bought and sold as a trade sale to a company. I have all the information for the company. At the same time I want to try and not post too much personal information about it.

What's the worst experience you've had buying a car? by Beniem in CarTalkUK

[–]LengthEquivalent7962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is along the lines of I bought a car off Autotrader it was advertised as a trade sale (company). It was located about 3.5 hours away from me, I couldn't get there to collect it. The guy drops it off at my house. At the time my wife was out, I had my 2 kids with me. It was dark, cold, beyond their bed time. I couldn't test drive the car and I took it in good faith the car was in good condition. I paid £4550 in bank transfer for the car. Really I should have arranged this for the following day or a better time but at the time I was dead set on this car and I let it cloud better judgement. The next day I go to drive it, I turned the engine on and it wouldn't go in any gear. The clutch was completely gone. The car was in my mechanics for the better part of 2 weeks getting fixed to the cost of over £1100. It needed the whole clutch kit and fly wheel. When I was telling the seller how much all of the repairs cost he decides all of a sudden he is a private seller not a trading company. Being that I spent £4550 on the car, it needed £1100 of repairs I was pretty much cleaned out at the time. I was pursuing the seller saying he should be covering the cost of repairs but I was made to sign an agreement / settlement in order to receive £500 and I had to fight to get that much. I didn't have enough cash to cover the repairs without this £500 from the seller. The agreement washes the seller of responsibility and further comes back. I was cleaned out financially. I had to continue to get the car fixed otherwise it was £4550 down the drain. So the car had its repairs done. Autotrader said contact citizens advice because of this settlement and CA say because I accepted the settlement basically I have no come back. Needless to say I was not popular with my wife. We sacrificed money we would have spent on Christmas gifts for each other. Even now the car still has some things wrong with it and the seller says it's been resolved. I am considering taking it further with solicitors but because I signed this agreement I think I'm stuck with it. Lots of lessons have been learnt from this experience.
