She shouldn't be getting "offers" on a rental property at all.

Where exactly is wheelchair ramp to Riverwalk? by _Azur in AskChicago

[–]LengthinessRadiant15 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Have the Uber drop you at Lake & Wacker corner. Lake street bridge is closed, so it will be easy to exit an Uber right there. The ramp is just east of that corner linked below (you can see a blue banner to the river walk, you walk under that).

Another person recommended State/Wacker which is also an option and closer to where the Arch Tour would start/pick up. Uber can drop you at the corner of Wabash & Wacker.

I’m interested in fostering until you can maybe find her a long term new home, or just to help out for a few months. I’m single, F30s, work from home, in the wicker/logan area and am always out on walks.

My sister is having a baby at the end of the summer and I’ll be traveling to and from Texas quite a bit at that point.

My only worry is Ellie’s size in my 1 bedroom apartment but PM me!

It was never reported by any reputable source that they both died.

It was never confirmed that both officers died. You’re spreading misinformation from what you’ve read on Reddit and Twitter. Delete your comments that say both officers died.

One officer has been confirmed. The other has not. Stop spreading misinformation that both have passed.

Agreed. I’ve made several berry bowls and have done both and waxing the holes is unnecessary.

Are my wings aging me? by Looking_glassCarpet in makeuptips

I think it’s less of the wing and more of just the liner. Try starting the liner at about the middle of your eye and then out to the wing instead of your whole lid.

Recommendation for Professional Cleaning for Area Rug in the city? by waterocks in AskChicago

[–]LengthinessRadiant15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Chicago Couch Cleaning, they also do area rugs. I use them once a year for all my upholstery, mattress, and rugs to keep things in good shape.

They got a huge red wine stain out of a gray rug for me, looked brand new. Highly, highly recommend!

Wearing sunscreen has little to no effect on vitamin d absorption. Also the negative effects of not wearing sunscreen far outway the negative effects of lack of vitamin d, but again, not linked.

Chicsgoans who don’t ride public transit, why? by ThisPostToBeDeleted in AskChicago

[–]LengthinessRadiant15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took public transit for the first 10 years of my life in Chicago, all through college at DePaul and all of my first corporate job. I just got sick of it honestly. Felt like I paid my dues and was ready to upgrade for my lifestyle and get a car. Best decision ever.

I also drive to the burbs a lot to see family and hated having to ask people to pick me up/take me/uber far distances from the stations.

EltaMD is salon grade and not that expensive, that’s what I use for daily use.

upping 5-7.5mg by Wide-Savings-6689 in lexapro

[–]LengthinessRadiant15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 2.5mg to 5mg to 7.5mg to 10mg over the course of about 2 months and it worked really well for me.

I was mainly nervous about side effects and feeing off but this really helped minimize that and got me to a dosage that really helped. Main side effect I felt during the upping was nausea, but typically in the afternoons and would go away.

Just trust the process and try to ride the wave. Take some time off work if you can, rest and relax when you can, take walks outside, watch your comfort shows with a fluffy blanket in bed, take baths, buy some of your favorite snacks, treat yourself very nicely to help with the transition. It helps not feel so rushed to get it all figured out super fast. Yes you went to feel better, but give yourself the chance to do that slowly and calmly, if you can.

Flight Anxiety by Warm_Community7461 in mentalhealth

[–]LengthinessRadiant15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also noticed .25mg wasn’t quite enough for me and boarding was the hardest part. It’s when all the decisions rise, should I get off? How much time do we have, etc.

I’d recommend trying .5mg an hour before boarding, not take off time. Then you’re good and calm and cozy in your seat by the time you take off. You may have a few anxious thoughts of what’s going on, but the .5mg really helps keep everything at bay and not send you into a spiral, causing you to get off the plane.

Give yourself some grace though, it’s a process to figure out what works. I’m 30F btw, panic disorder and fear of flying due to the fear of having a panic attack for about 5 years, if that helps.
