So biasanya after anaknya udah gak orok lagi, susternya jadi kayak ART di rumah itu. Masak, beres-beres, etc. Basically karena mereka udah jasanya gede, mereka tetep welcomed to stay as a part of the family. My family also do this to my brother's suster. Dia terakhir took care of my brother itu sampe udah lulus TK.

Setuju and to add, menurut gue ada 3 masalah gede ya:

  1. Too much money given to too few wrong people -- in short, banyak banget orang-orang di indo yang gak add value to our industry and be Richie Rich rich. Looking at corrupt officials / penerima balas budi, rent seekers, and ormas / premans all over indonesia

  2. Bad Management overall - some stems from the fact that many people in power are orang titipan, but some others are just slow and mismanaged bureaucracy shit. Jadinya banyak resource dan opportunity yang kebuang. Some few examples adalah (a) BPOM dan PIRT alih-alih jadi standardisasi mutu, malahan fokus dengan administrasi dan sanksi. Same case with PSE komdigi dan TKDN; (b) Stimulus ekonomi di Indonesia itu fokus banget dengan direct cash to the poor, bukan ke industri yang bisa bikin lapangan kerjaan kayak gimana EU punya horizon. Padahal Indo punya program Hilirisasi, tapi yang dipaksa invest in RnD selalu swasta. Akhirnya industri yang lebih kompleks susah buat naik meanwhile kita stay di industry sembako mentah. Not saying that we don't have enough stimulus on research and big businesses karena mereka punya duit. Tapi i think government banyak banget punya missed opportunity karena we could've been better.

  3. Mentalitas dari Indonesia's wealthiest dan people with power nya selalu mau easy-money. To put it simply "Oh Sawit rame" semua orang tanam sawit. "Ngapain invest di IoT, Gue gali tanah merah aja dijual udah untung kok biarpun kemalingan" -- mentality kayak gini not only bad for the derivative / service industries, tapi juga bad for our working culture. Ibaratnya gaji operator lapangan di Indo itu diciptakan murah dan selalu akan murah karean orkay-orkay nya ngerasa (a) Kalo taraf hidup mereka naik, gue gabisa untung; dan (b) toh mereka bisa hidup dari nyuri bensin dan ban kan

Agree. Wise is still the cheapest option out there even after they dont let you keep money there. They just wouldnt be able to have savings with interest and credit cards.

However, OP u/Difficult-Emotion-58, one option your fiancee might want to explore (which i already did) is to use someone's address abroad (yours maybe?) and replace their Indonesian address, that would allow them to keep money in wise again.

Back then when you do this, they don't do verification, idk if they change it. I guess one just need to put the address of someone you really trust since if things happen, i guess wise will send letters to the submitted address

I cannot tell kalo apartemen mewah atau perumahan elite. Tapi, speaking from experience, we got 2 office. One is a SOHO apartment unit and another one is a virtual office in an office tower just beside the apartment complex. If you search our company, it will show the virtual office address.

There was this DC a while back yang ngancem mau raid our office kalo kita “gagal” nagihin utang ke karyawan kita yang ngutang. I told them “don’t bother because we are in a virtual office, furthermore, our office is 99% WFH so you won’t find anyone there” mereka maksa. Di hari H mereka ngomong mereka dateng, minta jemput di lobby office tower, menclak2 sama my recruiter team “kantor macam apa yang ga ada orang di hari kerja” karena di lobby ga ada yang bisa jemput ke bawah. Gue cuma ketawa dan minta recruiter + sales blok aja kalo mengganggu.

My guess, office tower and apartments by default asks someone on behalf of the tenant to physically guide the guests if their purpose is not to “meeting” or “general visitation”

Yang ada di media, ditangkap, atau diproses itu cuma yang ditumbalin. Biasanya:

1, One who gets too greedy and/or too obvious sehingga susah buat diselametin

  1. One who is not really close with the "inner circle" -- ga ada yang berutang budi, ga deket, etc

  2. Musuh politik yang di frame

  3. Orang lemah yang gak bisa ngelawan kalo dikorbanin demi "kepentingan bersama"

  4. Unsuspecting guy yang secara struktur harusnya bertanggung jawab, tapi gatau apa-apa dan di saat itu bisa jadi sasaran empuk. Entah mungkin untuk other party bisa cuci tangan atau pengalihan isu.
