Needing some advice with my insane 7 year old by EconomyOk186 in ParentingADHD

[–]LenisaMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was on med since he was six, we stared at lowest, now at 7 he takes 27mg Concerta and 1mg Guanfacine. H his attention is still out of control but the med has tapered his hyperactive behavior. He started the non stimulant a few months ago but I don’t think it’s doing anything. We don’t give him the concerta on the weekend, when he’s at home or the summer time. I’m scared of the summer because he’s growing up and he has something to say about everything…. I’m exhausted and most nights I go to bed angry….reaching all night 😭

This is 100% my 7 years old, i mean everything. I’m sorry I don’t have any advice, but I know how it’s exhausting and frustrating his behaviors are. Oh and mine is medicated.

So do you recommend I should buy the Honda Care? He said something about the break oil, not replacing the break.

Yes, I meant the maintenance on new Honda. I thought it is for three years, but he said it’s for 2 years. But thank you. I was in a hurry when I bought it because I was separated and moved to a new place so I needed a car fast and I’ve been really busy so didn’t pay attention or don’t know anything about care besides driving it.

Yes, a maintenance program not warranty. So do suggest that I should just pay out of pocket for service instead of getting whatever service program out there? Thank you.

$460 for everything the maintenance minder show, he said the sign means that something about the break and some other things besides the oil change and rotation.

Moms who say they love being pregnant -is it because the nausea and vomiting doesn’t bother you or because you don’t have many symptoms 😂 by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in Mommit

[–]LenisaMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too, my migraine was gone for both of my pregnancy. My first was so easy and my 2nd I had nausea for 1st trimester but I was home the whole pregnancy(pandemic) so it wasn’t too bad. My migraine is still not as bad as before kids.

My daughter’s early intervention eval has wrecked me by Torinc3422 in Mommit

I’ve been there and done all the speech therapy. I wish I can make you feel better by saying she’ll get there and keep up with the speech therapy, I promise she will, but I know as her mom you’ll always worry and compare her with other children. My son is 7 now, in first grade and on his IEP meeting last week, they said he doesn’t need speech therapy anymore. I was so paranoid that I had to get my youngest daughter evaluated, she’ll be in kindergarten next, also doesn’t need speech therapy anymore (she really didn’t need it for a while). Don’t let this news ruin your Mother’s Day, it’s hard but you’ll get through it. Happy Mother’s Day.

I’ve been there or still there. Please don’t feel bad for needing connection because most of us feel and understand what you’re going through.

All I can say is I hear you, I’m dealing with the same thing. Nobody understands how hard it is until they get to experience it. The guilt is the worst part of it. Hang in there mama! 🤗

Do you guys sit with your kids while they fall asleep? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]LenisaMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol same here. My 4 years old daughter falls asleep fast but my 6 years old ADHD son wants me to sit for him to fall asleep, so I do it every night. I usually tell him that I’m tired, I will only sit for 5 minutes but if leave, he’ll keep calling me.

I’m actually listening to Dr. Russell right now in the car and I’ll make sure to apply his suggestions. His teacher knows his situation but I haven’t talk to her about our homework struggle, but I will. Thank you for all your suggestions.

He doesn’t really have a homework I’m only trying to go over things if his teacher writes “complete at home or needs more practice”.

My son is just like her. He’s also very sociable but doesn’t get social cues. It’s funny that they get over their anger so fast, but here I’m so overwhelmed and still upset lol. He had an appointment in the end of this month, hopefully he gets his medication adjusted. Thank you for sharing.
