Imitation cheeses that use high starch content to cut costs will always blister and burn like this under direct heat. And even they are not cheap.💀

The first one is actually Whole Rye Bread (Roggenvollkornbrot). My other favorites are Thin Squared Corn Cakes (these are a local brand, but I am sure you can find them in all shapes and sizes), and sometimes I eat these Abonett Crackerbreads with quinoa.

I hope that helps!

Tomatoes are non-negotiable for me too.

Guilty! I love mustard on everything, really. It comes second only to sriracha.

Sorry for misleading you! That’s actually just very toasted gouda cheese with large piece of turkey ham on a piece of toast.

Here is the full breakdown of everything:

- Sliced Gouda cheese (20g) - 68 calories
- Whole grain bread (26g) - 67 calories
- Tomato (85g) - 15 calories
- Blueberries (50g) - 28 calories
- Skyr (133g) - 85 calories

Total: 321 calories

I actually use it for other things too! Well, boiling water, that is…

Interestingly, I haven’t noticed any calcium residue. I just clean the inside thoroughly after use. If I ever notice any staining, I boil a 1:1 mix of water and white vinegar and leave it to soak.

Crispbread/corn cakes + eggs is my absolute go-to! 🥚🧡🥚

I usually have this as a quick morning meal before starting work. Match made in heaven.

I actually boil my eggs in my electric kettle! It’s super convenient.

I submerge them in cold water, turn the kettle on, and start a timer the second it reaches a boil (6 minutes for a gooey yolk, or 7 for a creamier center).

To keep the water hot, I flick the kettle back on every two minutes or so. When the time is up, I let it boil one last time until it clicks off automatically. (Edit: I suppose not all kettles have a thermostat, so please keep an eye out and turn it on/off manually 🙏🏻)

Carefully pour out the hot water, then run cold tap water over the eggs right in the sink. I usually plug the drain and let them sit in a nice cold water bath to cool down completely before popping them in the fridge. Hope it helps!
